After 5 years, time for another update. This place is a mile from my house, I pass it daily.I've done mostly take out over the last four years and I recommend it to everyone I know who comes to Fort Mill for BBQ.I picked up James from the airport this evening and he was hungry for some BBQ. He also wanted to watch the Hurricanes and Golden Knights. We rolled in about 830p and the place was packed, even the bar.We got seated and waited for our Server and we waited. Finally a young lady came up and said she would help us but we would be her last table, she was end of shift. From there we had probably one of the best dining experiences in the area in a long, long time.Lindsay was on her game. She quickly got our beverages, brought menus, answered questions and offered suggestions. James doesn't get a lot of que in NH, he was impressed since he's from the South and can't find this quality and selection in NH, especially with the sides like the collards and corn bread. What followed was an amazing meat feast of brisket and BBQ and the best sides we could imagine.Lindsay is a great asset to this business. She's polite and professional, she smiles and is articulate. Quite exceptional, that she's been here since they opened over 4 years ago. After she brought our food and we were surveying all the porky fineness on our table, Lindsey said 'The Hurricanes will be on this screen' as she pointed to the large HDTV, 'will that work for you'? She's a keeper ya'll

I live in Mount Holly, and we make this drive because their ribs are some of the best ribs we've had in both NC and SC! They're NOT cheap, but those ribs are excellent! I'm not a fan of their brisket as it's dry and too lean for my taste. I like fatty brisket. Their sides are good, I love their Mac & Cheese, hand cut fries and the corn pudding are delicious! I was very disappointed with their banana pudding because it was full of black overripe bananas. Not good. Overall I would go back, but ONLY for the ribs.

Pulled pork and ribs were delicious - well cooked and seasoned with a great bark. I loved the mustard sauce, but all the others were too sweet for my tastes. Fried pickles were perfect. Onion rings and baked beans tasty. Only complaints - the green bean casserole was incredibly bland and the pulled chicken dry.

I wanted to update my review as I have had a couple more items! We recently tried their stew and their chili. We absolutely loved both as they are both full of flavor. I would say the stew had a little more flavor, but it also had a little more spice and kick to it.We also tried their smoked turkey at Thanksgiving 2024. They offer a couple of different sizes of turkeys, and we went with the smaller size, however it was quite big and fed plenty. It is so full of flavor, and one of the best smoked turkey's I've had to date. It did take longer to reheat than instructed, so be potentially prepared for that. It is too bad they don't offer sliced smoked turkey on their menu regularly, since it is so good! What we would recommend:*Stew*Brisket Chili*Honey peach smoked wings*Brisket burnt ends*Brisket Chimichanga *Chicken (leg & thigh)*Thanksgiving turkey*Mac and cheese bites*Corn CasseroleWe really enjoy Blue Smokehouse, even though I wouldn't put it up there with our favorite BBQ restaurants. However, they can do some things really well, that keep us coming back for more. Service has always been great - including being dog friendly on the patio.

Had dinner here with friends. The weather was nice so we ate in their outside room.Nice menu, attentive service .We all ordered from their platter menu, chicken with brisket, chicken with ribs with sides of green beans, bbq beans, corn casserole, brisket and ribs. Brisket and ribs as a side was an extra upgrade charge . Meals came with toast or cornbread. Food was tasty, came out hot, good portions and reasonably priced. Bottles of various bbq sauces brought to the table. We all enjoyed our meal. Also there was entertainment at the outdoor room, a gent playing guitar and singing. A nice overall experience for all

Superb bbq. Table favorite was the ribs, but we also had pulled pork, and beef brisket. The corn bread is soft and sweet. Highly recommend the brisket baked beans. Cole slaw is okay. The servers are friendly and are quick with drink refills.

First time and won't be the last! Food was delicious, started off with the burnt end appetizer and they were so good. Got the fried pickles and they were ok to salty for my liking. The main meals were so tasty and portions were good. The brisket burger was very tasty and the collard greens were the best I have had in a long time. The pick 3 was also good and the sides of Mac and cheese, deep dish corn casserole were very good. Service was great Megan was very attentive and checked on us throughout out the night. Loved the outdoor patio as we had our dog and the fans worked well and the music was amazing! We will back for sure!!

This place used to be so good, but the last two times we went was horrible. Mac and cheese was so over cooked and apparently reheated because the noodles were mushy and it was dry and sticky. The cornbread casserole was a big mushy mess. The bbq was ok after adding sauce to juice it up a bit. We were very disappointed since it had once been a favorite of ours. Don't think we'll be back.

I really wanted to like this place. The BBQ smells good but their concept is wood burning cooking under the food. I'm sorry it's just not good. It has an unusual flavor that I can't get passed. It tastes almost like you're cooking above lighter fluid. I just don't care for it but it was crowded. Perhaps it's worth a one time try to see if it's your cup of tea. Just wasn't mine.
