First time visit. I was very impressed. They have very creative sushi rolls and a large variety to choose from. The portion size is large- one specialty roll was enough for me! Everything we ordered was good! Gyoza, Shumai, Tempura. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even brought a birthday dessert for my mother who was celebrating her 96th birthday. Next time I am in Charlotte we will definitely return!

I've been wanting to check this place out for years! They always rank on Yelps top places to eat and they have great reviews!I ordered a few sushi rolls and crab wontons for pick up. Inside is super tiny, but they were pretty full. The staff was very friendly when I went in to pick up my order and they even had a Yell trophy on the register. How cool!My sushi was good, but not the best I've ever had. I think I may have enjoyed it more if I ate there instead of to go. I did eat it immediately and there was no issue with anything not being hot or whatever. It just seemed to be missing a little something. However, it was still good and I'd go back for sure!

So good.I've lived in this area for almost 4 years now and this is my first time checking out Blue Orchid. I've had it on my saved list but it's kind of hidden, so I always forget about it.Stopped in for lunch the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and the place was empty. It's a small dine in area but it's clean and well decorated. We were greeted and sat immediately. Everyone welcomed us in. I ordered the chicken lo mein (lunch special) and my partner the chicken ramen. Both meals were excellent. Very flavorful and served piping hot. Sometimes ramen is too salty for me but this broth was delicious. We noticed that take out is popular here. Many people coming in to pick up to go orders. There are many other menu items I would love to try here like the Sushi, crab Rangoon, different noddle dishes etc. and I will definitely be back.

I came here Saturday evening with my partner after a long workday. The ambiance is very simple and understated but clean. The service was prompt, and our order came out accurate. We ordered the Thai Tea, pot stickers and about 5-6 rolls between us. I'm more of a raw roll person, and my partner is a fried roll or combo roll connoisseur. We ordered for our tastes but shared bites as always. We both thought the food was excellent. The fish was fresh, and the rolls had great flavor combinations. I highly recommend this unassuming gem if you need great sushi.

Tried Blue Orchid on a whim driving past looking for a lunch spot. Pleasantly surprised by the service, food and music. Worship music played as we ate lunch, providing a calming lunch experience. There are 3 tables that seat 4, 3 booths that seat 4 and 2 high rise tables that seat 3. There are also 3 seats at the window to see food prep. Our sushi rolls came out fast and were super fresh. The chicken tempura roll was the best one I've ever had. My sister said the Alaskan roll was good but the Caprese roll was the best. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be back here again!

Visiting from out of town and staying in a hotel nearby, decided to give Blue Orchid a try based on Yelp reviews. Unassuming exterior in a little strip mall but the food was good, fresh and I feel falls into a 4-star category. Little on the pricey side with little stickers on the menu over the original pricing indicating a rise in prices and some of the rolls being $20 each but overall a good experience. Give it a try!
