Bistro D'antonio

From dining at the long time South Blvd location, Villa Antonio, to the Waxhaw location, Bistro D'Antonio we've never been disappointed. We started off with the Figgy Crostini which we always get. I'm always impressed with the amount of Figs, Goat Cheese and Walnuts piled on the bread. Our 8 year old daughter always orders the Chicken Parmigiano. She an expert on this dish and says theirs is THE BEST. My wife and I both had the Pasta Special with Shrimp and Lobster Tail. They knew it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary so they brought us over a piece of Tres Leches Cake, with a candle, and sang Happy Anniversary to us. The only thing we missed was Sunday was Antonio's day off Do yourself a favor, drive to Waxhaw, and enjoy some of the BEST ITALIAN INSPIRED CUISINE in the Charlotte area.

Monthly they have a wine tasting dinner with a set menu. It was very good food and friendly service. There was a piano played who added to the elevated atmosphere.

Amazing!!! Loved everything about this place. We got the stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, tortellini, the pasta special of the night, tiramisu, and chocolate cake. All of the food I would get again. The dessert choices come out on a display tray and yum are they good!!!! The server was very attentive and friendly. Definitely try this place out if you're in the area. Side note- Antonio the owner is awesome and such a fun character

We visited the restaurant twice because we were gifted a substantial gift certificate. The first time we went, I had the lasagna and my husband had the lobster ravioli. We had good service and the entrees were great. They offer bread with vinegar and oil. The second time we visited, my husband ordered the lobster ravioli again, and I had the chicken Parmesan entree. My husband enjoyed his, but I couldn't eat the pasta that I ordered as the side with my chicken parmesan. The sauce on the pasta was orange/red in color, it tasted and reminded me of something like "chef boyardee" sauce from a can. It was actually different from what the chicken had on it originally( which was deeper red in color and much better ). The kitchen staff actually spread some of it over the chicken ( which I scraped off). We are pretty easy going and easy to please, but this was an odd dining experience for us. The waiter was nice. It is a quiet and pleasant ambiance. I just think we won't be returning because the sauce on the pasta was not my taste, and it is a relatively expensive restaurant. To save money and avoid getting a bad experience we will dine elsewhere.

The food is always exceptional at Bistro D'Antonio. When we want a relaxing, sumptuous meal, this is our go to place.

Sat at the bar . my husband and I ordered the Italian wedding soup and the Caesar salad . both delicious . Great wine list . then they brought to us a complimentary champagne lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate before the next meal. chicken Francese and veal were both fantastic . the owner brought over an amazing dessert tray and I did not know what to pick everything looked so amazing ! Picked the tiramisu . So good! Please supposed this amazing business in Waxsaw! 100/10 stars

Came in for the brunch menu today. It was nice to finally come in person to eat. This is such a nice place to visit and eat brunch at. The monte Cristo was amazing and fluffy. The food here is both fresh and plated with detail. Service here is also top-notch along with perfectly matched atmosphere and ambiance. I can't wait to return for an intimate dinner with the wifey.

I only have one word.....for this Waxhaw Italian joint that sells the basics, with nothing great. Good if you live in the neighborhood but disappointing if you travel more than 31 minutes. Service was excellent.....Unmemorable.

Service was outstanding, food was just okay. We had a party of five and ordered shrimp scampi, rigatoni, spaghetti with meatballs, veal piccata and linguini with clam sauce. We also order Calamari, Bruschetta and Wedge salad appetizers. Will probably try again but looking for a little more authentic Italian taste.

Ten stars if I could!! Between the food, drinks, ambience and the most attentive waitstaff you could ask for! Definitely try everything! It's a very friendly place and the food is beyond delicious! Intimate. My daughter even got proposed to there! Amazing establishment, like family by now!
