Not sure why it has a poor rating on yelp but we ordered delivery and really liked the goat fry biryani. Wish the portion was a little bigger but still good!

Formerly, The PeppersWe were in the area and could smell the wonderful spices coming from Byrani. We decided to give them a try. To our surprise it was their 2nd day grand opening. We were immediately greeted by smiles and had our choice of seating being the first ones in on a Thursday. I previously visited this establishment when they were under the name The Peppers.All of the decor and furnishings had been refurbished and looked new and clean. They even have a bakery stocked with lots of Indian desserts and pastries.We ordered our food and it did not take long to come out. The entree was in a silver dish. I initially thought the portion was really small. When I plated my rice and poured the chicken on top, there was more for at least 2 more servings. The silver dish kept the masala heat hot the entire time we were there. A+I ordered the chatpat as an appetizer, not really knowing what to expect. It was fried corn with peanuts. I will only say try it for yourself, I didn't like it. The manager, Ayan, was super friendly. He kept checking on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and checking to see if we needed anything. I also ordered the Mango Lasse, it was fresh and delicious. When we were ready to pay our bill. Ayan came and boxed up our left overs for us. This was a really nice gesture. I will surely be going back to try other options on the menu.

The food is amazing. The service is terrible. It's worth going here if you have time to sit for a couple hours. Took over 30 minutes to get food for two people at our table, and almost a full hour for the third person at our table to get our food. Someone came in after we ordered our food and they were served before us which leads me to believe this establishment is racist towards non-indian people. 5 starts for food, -5 stars for service.

I've been craving Indian food and finally got my partner to agree to eat Indian food. We used to go when it was the Peppers so we took a chance. We were not disappointed! We started with a Dosa... crispy and light with the dipping sauces I love. We also had the mutton - mild which was perfect for me. We also enjoyed a Chicken kabob that was also delicious. Service was great, the restaurant was clean and bright.

My wife and I love Indian Cuisine. Having recently moved to Charlotte we are open to trying different restaurants. Today being Sunday, we decided to try out Biryanis Nation. When we drove up at 12:30 pm we were surprised to find very few cars in the lot. From the outside the restaurant appeared closed until my wife saw a small OPEN sign. Upon entering we noticed a buffet set up on collapsable tables. There was no sign saying "Please Wait to be Seated" or "Please seat Yourself," so we stood there a little while until someone came by and said "It's a buffet today." At that point I asked, "Do we seat ourselves?" but the gentleman didn't appear to understand. Finally a woman came by and escorted us to a table where she returned with two water bottles. When we went to the buffet, we discovered whatever they were cleaning the floor with made it very slippery. For older people, that was a concern. At the buffet there was a pile of spoons and forks on the table, not wrapped in napkins, just piled on the table. Not very sanitary. We went through the line. There was a wide variety of items. When we got to the table and began eating, we discovered 75% of the food was either cold or lukewarm. It was a shame because taste wise it seemed flavorful, but eating cold chicken in lukewarm curry made us leery. If a health inspector with a thermometer had walked in I am certain they would have closed this place down. Food kept at temperatures like this is dangerous. We did not finish, paid the $45 bill, and left. We will not be returning to this restaurant. That is a shame since the taste was good, it just wasn't hot.
