Wish I could do 4.5.I was here for the Sandblast Rally last weekend. One of the teams I talk to suggested here, so I figured I'd swing by after the last stage I was spectating.I got there and they were packed. Luckily, a family of three let me share a table with them. The place was pretty shabby, but homey? Just like you'd expect a dive to be. Not dirty, but not pristine.I waited about 5 minutes to get a menu, but it was fine for me while I chatted with the family I was with.I asked if they could do a half and half Mac and cheese bites and fried pickles appetizer, as I really wanted to try both, and they did it with no problem, so excellent service there.I got the cheeseburger, all the way, or whatever they called it. The waitress said it had chili, ketchup, mayo (I think), lettuce, and onion. I asked for no onion, and away she went without having written anything down.Well I got my food, but the burger only had ketchup and pickles on it from what I could tell. I wanted to get it proper, but it wasn't priority.Awesome burger. Almost tasted like meatloaf or something. The fries were just normal fries. Not great, but didn't suck. The pickles were great. Nice and crispy. Sometimes you get limp pickles when they're fried, but these were perfect.I couldn't tell if the Mac and cheese bites were homemade or not. They were good, but not the best I've had. Kinda pasty.I'd definitely go back when I see this rally again.

This place was such a food goldmine to find today. We were so lucky to have wandered off the beaten path and found this spot via Yelp, so I am adding this review so others may partake in the amazing food! I was amazed that this restaurant has been around since the early 50's, but I can see why they have lasted so long. The burgers were hand-formed patties of good beef like you would make yourself at home, not frozen pucks as some do. The fries were cooked perfectly with a crisp exterior and soft interior the way I like. We were really hungry so we opted for an order of the fried Mac n Cheese bites and the photo is of our order that was halfway eaten before I realized I should take a picture to show them off. I will definitely find the time to visit this place again, but if you haven't tried them yet, be sure to head there as soon as you can!

Don't shy away from this Route US 1 stop. Bill claims he has REAL burgers and he ain't lying. Burgers are THICC and very good. Get it with chili or a side of chili, you won't be disappointed.

My first time and it's my 56th Birthday! I have passed this place so many times and wondered if it was good. I drove all the way from Atlanta and made the big find!!I will be back!Great food!!!

They opened up for us when they were closed. We had a delicious steak prepared for us by the owner. Great food! Great hospitality. Highly recommend!

I cannot express how wonderful the food and service at this fine establishment are. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was down-home friendly. These folks were genuinely friendly, sweet, and plain nice. The burgers were fresh made. They didn"t hit the flattop until I ordered. So juicy! I'll be back. Again and again. I am lucky to live in the same town, but it's worth any amount of driving. You won't be disappointed!
