Cheese Pizza
Taken as soon as received, box 12.5x12.5, barely fit so you're getting what you pay for size wise.
Roadside Sign
Decent undercarriage, a slight crisp, and not highly processed looking like a chain.
Margherita - a little light on toppings
Mediterranean pizza. Such amazing toppings to go along with awesome crust. Truly NY style.
The crust is amazing! Great chew.

This place is where the old Pit Stop used to be. They have completely re-done the inside and outside - including parking and traffic flow. It is the same owner as Lily's Bistro. We got a large cheese pizza and a large Margherita pizza. The first thing I noticed was how light (in weight) the pizzas were. Given the prices, this kind of surprised me. The cheese pizza was excellent. Great crust and cooked perfectly. The Margherita was average at best. Very little basil and not a lot of flavor. Staff I encountered were incredibly friendly. I am curious to see how this place evolves.

We have live in York County for 3 years and haven't been able to find pizza with good crust. We've tried them all. Big Papa's owner is from Long Island, NY and he understands the importance of a good crust. This is now our fav. Pizza by far. They make their own sauce with fresh basil and San Marzano tomatoes too! We also tried the meatball app, but we were so hungry that we ate them immediately. Really tasty!

Pizza was very good, if I'm being picky it could have cooked a little longer but wasn't doughy at all, it did have a light crisp. Sausage placement could have been a little better it's was kinda pooled into one main area of two pieces as you can see and one or two pieces ended up having very little sausage, again super minor stuff but could definitely be improved upon. I don't usually like to directly compare but this being pizza and not in my local neighborhood I would most closely compare it to Luigi's at Whitehall as this is my "neighborhood" pie. I would say Big Papa's is overall a little tastier for me than Luigi's, It's also a little more expensive. Is it overpriced well I don't know, I think papas 16" prices are right on par maybe their 12 inch prices are a little too high. I ordered a 12" pizza with pepperoni and sausage that's $13 for a cheese pizza and $2.50 per topping, so $18 plus tax it was like $20.33 or something out the door. By comparison Luigi's would be $11.50 for a 12" plain cheese and $1.25 per additional topping meaning $14 plus tax so $4 cheaper, but their 16" prices are much closer to each other, is it $4 better for what I ordered probably not but like I said it was definitely a little better. This is not local to me, but if I were back in the area I would get the pizza again. If this was my local "neighborhood" spot I would be very happy with that, it's very good non chain pizza. They only accept cash which I knew ahead of time, and they tell you on the phone, they have atm on premises. This is lazy for me in this day and age, I assume they don't want to pay credit card processing fees and I assume they make a little something off each atm transaction, so I think this is kinda a negative with all the forms of payment today. It's also confusing because the sign says 3% discount for cash payment but they only take cash so why have a sign, are they just giving everyone a 3% discount? I feel the only places that should get away with cash only are hole in the wall places where their product is so good and so desired they can basically do whatever they want, this is not that type of place, it's a very good above average non chain pizza. Don't go out of your way to try it but if you're in the area I definitely recommend you try it.

We ventured into Big Papa's for the very first time today. Personally, I was somewhat put off by the flies buzzing around, but we decided to overlook that and placed our order to go. We opted for a half pepperoni, half sausage pizza with extra cheese. The crust and sauce were spot-on, but the two toppings combined resulted in a rather salty pizza. Although I was thrilled to have a pizza joint just 5 minutes from my house, we'll stick with Empire or Luigi and make the longer drive for a superior pizza experience

First things first, very good pizza. We've been multiple times already to really feel out the quality and try the menu and have landed on this, it's very good pizza. 8.2/10. Up there but not quite as good as Luigis in Steelecroft if you like NY style (we did not try their Sicilian as that is not our cup of tea). If pizza quality is all you care about, stop reading here. Now for the meh. This place is a but overpriced. It's priced at about 40% more than the other one off pizza places in lake wylie/Clover, and is even more than your Charlotte top spots (and 2-3x the pizza chain prices, not that you should compare these). It definitely warrants a premium price, but it is absolutely overpriced imo. $17 for a 16" cheese pie at the time I'm writing this review. $4 a slice (again, from a 16" pie) also seems a bit steep.Worth a try for sure, but at these prices they're going for a different audience than the average family unfortunately. Also, and in my opinion far less important than everything above, but we've tried some of their other offerings and the non-pizza portions are tiny and unimpressive. Sandwiches are good but very small portions (think 2 orders to fill any average male). Our order of Meatballs were small and unimpressive. Chicken tenders were laughably small and is on the avoid list in our opinion. Point is, stick to the pizza.Overall an awesome pizza joint, just a bit overpriced which is really unfortunate as it prices this out from being our go to place.

Pizza is excellent! Sauce is made from fresh tomatoes, fresh basil; the cheese mix is buffalo mozzarella and grated pecorino romano. Filtered water is used in the flour: the taste is among the best in the Charlotte region. Prices are a little higher than competing pizzeria's.They now take credit cards, BTW...

Hence why Yelp helps. Based on the pizza pictures I won't bother going. I don't need to spend $15+ for large crust portion pizza. Put the sauce out to the edge and cover the sauce. A few pictures are very lacking.
