This fun roadside shop, farm stand, and kids play area offers locally grown peaches and other fruits. The ice cream inside the whi building is worth the hype. It is run by a local family. The pictures they have on display tell you this is homegrown and homemade. The line for ice cream moved quickly. The key is knowing what flavor you want before you get to the front. I went during peach season and their peach ice cream is delicious. The nearby Peach Festival created a steady stream of visitors.

A great place to stop on our way home from the zoo or Seagrove. I stumbled upon it after taking the wrong turn and we had actually wanted ice cream. It's the cutest little shop and it's definitely filled with love. Some of the ice cream is named after the grandkids which I just love! We brought our daughter this time and it was a great place for kids as well. Looking forward to a summer stop to cool down with a sweet treat!

Ben's ice cream was a nice place to pull into while out on a motorcycle ride to get a cool treat. I had a strawberry milkshake that I enjoyed outside under the gazebo in the shade. The ice cream here is homemade with lots of flavor choices. The service was just an wonderful as the ice cream. I'll be back next time I'm passing through for another sweet treat.

A childhood favorite that remains the same -- years ago this spot was half of what it is now. Returning as an adult, it's nice to see how it's grown. Ben's ice cream has to be the best homemade ice cream in Moore county. (Which does say something for a southern area) As a small-business owner myself, i always enjoy shopping local and always feel well taken care of. Good people, produce & environment.

Very delicious home made ice cream at a produce shack by the hwy. ^__^The shack offers peaches, tomatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe and much more (when in season) harvested in the nearby fields and orchards. The family makes their own ice cream and sells it to the motorists. The prices were fair and the ice cream flavors were original and delicious. The only draw back was that they have no indoor seating of any sorts...so we ate our ice creams under the produce shed (they have a high top table for patrons) but given the 95F it was more an ice-cream-eating-race than an enjoyable experience. Too bad. The ice cream was so good I would have loved to just take my time and enjoy it.I will most definitely come back if I am in this area!

Fifteen minutes West of Pinehurst, NC, and just west of West End, NC you will run across a fresh farmers market and ice cream shop. Across the street is a large peach orchard and a little way further West you will find a large sod grower in operation. Ben's is a jewel in the Carolina's. They offer LARGE portions of cream-rich ice cream at very reasonable prices. They even offer complimentary scoops of vanilla ice cream for any four legged visitors. I always get Peach ice cream. It is worth a special drive to get a peach ice cream and think of the best summer vacation day.

When driving by this little, sleepy agriculture town, you must stop at this homemade ice cream shop. We couldn't pass it up and it was worth it. There is a fruit stand connected to an ice cream shop. They sell local honey as well. I tried the peach cobbler with vanilla on top which was highly recommended by the friendly staff. It seemed a logical choice with a huge orchard of peaches across the street. Wow! Served warm with the homemade ice cream on top, it was worth every calorie. We tried mint chocolate chip, cake batter and cookie dough. Everyone finished their huge portion so I'd assume it was as tasty as mine. There are picnic tables to sit and a swing. Plus a huge man made slide of black pipe. My son fearlessly decided to try this. All ok except upon arriving at the bottom, the temperature was insanely hot. Get a mesh mat located at the bottom. Still a fun little stop.
