Beef 'n Bottle: The Historic Steakhouse That's More Than Meets the Eye! After driving past this place for a year, side-eyeing its old-school saloon exterior (seriously, where are the windows?! ), my partner-in-crime and I finally took the plunge. And let me tell you--it did not disappoint! We showed up at 6 PM on a Saturday without a reservation (bold move, I know). Luckily, we only waited 15 minutes, but a crowd rolled in right behind us. Moral of the story: Make a reservation if you can! Now, let's get to the real reason we came--the steaks. Our server, Victor, schooled us on the restaurant's history and made some solid recommendations. I went for the NY Strip (medium rare), while my partner chose the Ribeye (medium). They only use salt and pepper, and somehow, that's all they need because these steaks were . Juicy, flavorful, grilled to absolute perfection. We even did our usual "let's compare doneness" test, and they nailed it. Sides? Smaller portions, but definitely packed with flavor. I had a loaded baked potato and mushrooms. He went with red mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts (yes, I stole a bite, and yes, they were delicious ). We also started with Baked Oyster Rockefeller (4), which were chef's kiss . And let's not forget the homemade Wisconsin cheese ball they bring to the table--my partner insisted we share, but I had other plans. The vibe inside? Unexpectedly classy. Men in suit jackets, white tablecloths, and black-and-white photos of old Hollywood stars on the walls--it was giving Godfather energy. But despite the fancy feel, it was lively and a little loud (in a good way!). Total bill: $130. Verdict? Worth. Every. Penny. If you're a steak lover, do yourself a favor and get to Beef 'n Barrel ASAP. Just don't judge this book by its (questionable) cover. #SteakPerfection #MafiaVibes #BeefNBottle

Beef 'N Bottle is a staple Charlotte steakhouse that did not disappoint! I have been looking forward to trying this spot for a while now so we decided to get reservations the week before Christmas. Beware - reservations open up 14 days in advance so you have to be on the lookout. The interior takes you a step back in time with quaint booths and tables arranged in a cozy room that was well lit for Christmas. They serve complementary sharp spreadable cheese and crackers that was to die for! We had to force ourselves to stop eating it so we could save room for rest of the meal. We both ordered steaks which to my pleasant surprise, all come with a salad and a side or two sides! My husband got the wedge and I got the regular salad. The dressings are all homemade and I highly recommend getting the blue cheese and ranch. By the time our steaks came, we were getting full but that didn't stop us! No sir-ee. I got the filet medallions, each served with a different topping and they were all delicious. The blue cheese topped one was my favorite followed by the rosemary butter. The baked potatoes are huge and I recommend getting yours loaded. The toppings come on the side so you can load it how you want. My husband loved his ribeye and both our steaks were cooked perfectly. I had a martini with blue cheese olives that was fantastic but next time I'll try one of their amazing wine selections. We had the best night and I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fun night out or a special occasion. You get a lot of food for the money! Reservation only unless you want to sit at the bar first come first serve.

Great restaurant for 66 years in Charlotte. The food and service are always perfect. Ask for the ribeye medium rare but charred - it's amazing! Skip the "corporate" steak houses and visit a true throwback steakhouse as it should be. Steak, salad, and a side all in the price you see for the entree.

Everything but the steak was amazing. Sadly, since this is a steakhouse, I can't make up too many stars for the stellar service, delicious sides and appetizers, and great old fashioned. From the outside, you may question going here, but you have to at least give it a try. It's a classic old steakhouse and the inside vibe is as such. I went with some folks for a business dinner and managed to snap a few pics. The lighting wasn't great so I did my best. And for a 5p reservation, the place filled up quick, so they're doing some things right. Our server was amazing. He explained everything and how it works and how he'd guide us through the night. He said he was the bartender as well and the old fashioned's were spot on!I ordered the Filet/Sea Bass special with the traditional salad and their potato cheese cake things. But started out with a shrimp cocktail with house made cocktail sauce with LOTS of horseradish. Yum!!!! I like it when it clears your sinuses, and it really did.The salad was served as a plate of lettuce, another plate with salad fixin's (olives, onions, peppers, radish, etc.) and your house-made dressing of choice. The salad was fresh and delicious. The dinner is where things fell apart. The Sea Bass was good, but it wasn't that melt-in-your-mouth-like-buttah which I've had on occasion. It was a nice piece of fish but it was slightly over, not to the point of it being ruined, but to the point of not being an excellent compliment to the steak. The Filet was overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it was medium in the center but that was like 2 bites. The rest was more medium well and it ate like a piece of meat flavored bubbalicious, where you chew and chew and chew and it just doesn't want to go down.Since it was a business dinner, I didn't pull out my Elite Badge and go into Karen mode. I just finished up and said I was full and it was good. Maybe the larger steak (10 oz) would have been cooked better than the smaller steak in the combo (6 oz).The others at the dinner enjoyed their meals and their appetizers as well. I forgot what they ordered, but 2 out of 3 were satisfied. I'd probably give it another try if I needed to go to a "nice" dinner, but I've had better food throughout the Charlotte area.

I recently dined at Beef and Bottle, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The service was top-notch--our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The highlight of the evening was definitely the steaks, which were absolutely amazing. I especially loved the Trio Medallions, each topped with a flavorful twist: horseradish, wine butter, and blue cheese. Each medallion had its own distinct taste, and all were cooked to perfection. The Shrimp Scampi was another standout, with its perfect balance of garlic and buttery richness that made it an absolute delight. While the main courses were stellar, I felt that the sides could be improved. They were decent but didn't quite match the high standard set by the steaks and shrimp. All in all, Beef and Bottle is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys top-quality steak and exceptional service. I'll definitely be back!

This classic restaurant was great! Even though we are not locals we felt welcome. This is clearly a restaurant that is well known to the nearby residents. The food was great and so was the vibe! I definitely recommend this restaurant, whether you are looking for a good steak or something else. We loved it all!
