We made our 1st and last trip tonight. I had the NY strip medium rare and twice baked potato. The steak was a bit chewy and seriously lacking in flavor. My wife had the sea bass which was ok but not great. The bottom line is we could have eaten at Sam Kendall's or Steeplechase for less and had better food. The service was very good. No problem there. Finally and most importantly, the noise was horrible. We to really strain to carry on a conversation. I asked if the noise level was like this often. "Always" was the reply from the server. Were we ever to go back I would carry my ear protection I use during target practice.

We went Friday night with our neighbors. Great looking place from the outside....looks like a very fine upscale restaurant. The menu has quite a few good looking choices. We were surprised when we walked in that it was so loud and noisy. We were seated at a small table for four right behind the hostess counter. They have nice booths along the window and tables throughout the center. A bar is toward the back of the room with television. Since the bar and TV are so visible to the dining area takes away from the more upscale look. I must say the food was great. I ordered the shrimp and grits that came with chopped andouille and a nice cream sauce. Excellent!! I'd order it again. My wife split the salmon dish and baked potatoes with our friend. Both of them really liked their meal. Her husband ordered the Red Snapper with succotash. It was very good. I tried a bite and it had a nice tang to it. My wife and I split the HSG salad that was loaded with nuts, craisins, blue cheese and it was quite large and also very good. For an appetizer the four of us split the spicy shrimp (bang bang shrimp). It was very good but I think there were only about 10 shrimp on the plate (unlike Bonefish that serves a heaping amount of shrimp over a bed of lettuce). Our fiends ordered the creme broulee for dessert and said it was very good. The staff checked on our table several times throughout the. meal to see how things were. Very good service. The biggest drawback that all of us had was how loud it was. It's tough to hear yourself talk, similar to a couple of other fine dining restaurants in Cola. I'd give it five stars on the food....but have to knock it a bit due to the atmosphere.

We enjoy this place... it's our go to place for an enjoyable dinner out. Service is conveniently good. So is the food. We really enjoy the bar bites menu. Do not recommend sitting in their booths! Cramped and not very comfortable. They are poorly designed -- you can feel every movement of the parties on either side.

I'd say this is Camdens fine dinning. The space is elegant and modern, great for a nice night out. Excellent service. Our waitress was super sweet and genuine. We ordered the sirloin which was cooked as ordered. They had us cut into it on the spot to make sure it was to our liking. Everything came out quickly & menu is reasonably priced. Their house old fashion was perfect. My only suggestion is that their Brussels sprouts be baked crispy instead of boiled.

We tried brunch today for the first time. I ordered the crab eggs Benedict with home fries. WELL, I have never had pouched eggs that were hard boiled, no run at all. There was a super thin silver dollar sized crab cake, I guess, under a mountain of hollandaise sauce. The home fries tasted good, but were cold. My wife loved her crème Beule French toast. She ordered a mimosa, which was $10 and served in a snifter glass??? No champange flutes for a very expensive mimosa??? Unbelievable. The prices are fine restaurant quality, but everything else is not. Small expensive portions, that are very hit or miss for quality. It is very expensive for the portions. I only gave 2 stars, because my wife said her meal was actually pretty good.

My daughter took here me for my 60th birthday, very welcoming, simple and elegant, warmly greeted and seated by the host. Wait staff was very friendly. Wishing me a happy birthday with a personalized birthday menu. Surpisingly, prices were less than I expected. Sirloin was cooked to order, would definitely order again.

Small town charm with city vibes. The food and atmosphere were amazing. Mac & cheese was chef's kiss! My burger melted in my mouth. Our waitress was extremely accommodating and helpful with menu items. I'll be back!

We had the shittiest day getting and run and then cancelling all our plans. I said to my husband, why don't we do a makeshift late anniversary dinner and go eat somewhere nice where we can just relax and be served dinner. BColsons knocked it out of the park. Everything was so beyond delicious and my steak was perfect. It was such a relief and so worth it to dine here.

My dinner was excellent! I rarely clean my plate, but I did last night. Our server, Holly, was very good. Just enough attention without being too much. We will definitely choose BColsons again next year when we are in the area.

Let me start by saying the Ambiance and Service were Spectacular. Perfect for Celebrating my Birthday. The manager n duty came by to ask us (4) about our experience ; though overall we enjoyed our first time at B. Colson , I wanted to be more thorough and honest in review each item,I tasted.Lamb 10/10 savory tender moist; house salad 9/10-a warm crossiant vs cold would have perfected for Mom and I; Didn't taste snapper-but consumer agrees fish needed more seasoning;virgin daquiri-use to blended 7/10 light refreshing less ice /blended be better ; cheesecake( didn't taste) consumer desired more strawberry topping it had very little on plate; Not pictured Bananas Foster was delicious 8/10; deviled fried eggs ( for me without yolk-don't eat pork) 2/10-consumer was disappointed -lacked flavor-neat concept will have to try it at home; fried Flounder not pictured-light batter 7/10 lacked seasoning( had to get Tabasco) : sea bass-blackened--again lacked seasoning 5/10( guess I was comparing to "Mon Cafe" in Sumter's Sea bass which is scrumptious) was a little undercooked for me ; the garlic mashed potatoes were bomb and the mac and cheese exquisite 10/10-brussel sprout side8/10 ( and I don't usually like Brussels sprouts) I hope this review helps someone, Thank You B. Colson for the experience .
