BBQ Man

This used to be in derwood MD and was my favorite as a kid. It's so great to see 20 years later it's still going.

Saturday afternoon 4Pm no one in Parking Lot (Should been a Sign) but I went in anyway a Lady Yelled @ me from a Dark back room Hello show up walk pass to close sections in the dark to finally get to my table which was in the dark. I ordered water to drink. I was brought a bottled water & a Cup of ice then I ask was there a problem with getting just a regular glass of water the response was, we don't serve tap water Now to the Meal Shredded pork With a liquid smoke tasteUS food Sides Bland Potato Salad & Cole slaw & Frozen Hush Puppies No TV or Music just dead silence setting in the darkThe waitress was very sweet But she was practicing Covid 2020 Guidelines Fair Price for what was served But it was Golden Corral Food @Best the outside of the building is nasty. There's no landscaping or any type of grass being cut or anything you can tell they have given up just call it a day Lock the door Definitely would not go back

Excellent food- generous size servings- pulled pork, hush puppies, hand cut French fries potatoes - baked beans

Probably not my favorite BBQ place but the food pretty good. The prices aren't too bad but aren't cheap. The service was good but there was no one in the dining room. The ambience wasn't too bad but definitely needs work. The dining room felt a little outdated and lacked lighting.

First impressions, there's a lot of pig memorabilia in here. The hush puppies are delicious, They are nice and crisp & golden brown on the outside while being moist in the center. The waitress didn't give our party enough of them and never refilled the baskets.Strike #1.I ordered the pork loin with baked beans and bbq slaw. The pork loin was dry and the sweet bbq sauce lacked flavor. The bbq slaw was decent but the baked beans were tasteless. Strangely there weren't any desserts listed on the menu.Our waitress refilled our drinks only after everyone's food was brought out. The one thing this restaurant has going for it is that its cheap. I won't be going back though

Went there for a birthday lunch, the place was completely empty. We were the only ones in there. I ordered the bbq chicken and the chicken was so dry I couldn't finish it. The fries would the only good food I had. I will not be back.

Coordinated these guys to cater our rehearsal dinner at the Brown Mountain Beach resort this past Friday. The pulled pork and ribs were outstanding. We had people from all over the country and they couldn't stop complimenting how good it was. I highly recommend their catering that's for sure! Oh by the way their Mac and cheese is excellent too!

This place is an experience!! The food was unbelievable and the decorations are whimsical. We were there around closing time and the place was empty, but the food was indescribably good. I will come back here every chance I get.

I visited once BBQ wasn't good. Went back hoping maybe it's me. I knew my payment was Gonna be alot so since it wasn't anybody there behind me to order the lady fixing plate yelled at me asking what I wanted it frightened the lady who was helping me. I will drive all the way to the south side next time

Stopped on a saturday around 4:30; we were the only two there. No... just say no. Go to Simms if its open, and bring cash cuz they dont take credit. im sure BBQ man is a nice guy but his BBQ not all that great. When you have to use bbq sauce, its not good bbq. Im a bbq snob cuz ive had some of the best from all around. Theres nothing like a fine swine. Simms is ok - doest require sauce... but ive still had better.
