If you love authentic Italian then you must try Basilico-Italiano. I chose to go on a Sunday for lunch to try their homemade lasagna. It is made on Sundays only. Appetizers are also half price from 12-4 on Sundays. My 6 year old can make a meal of meatballs, so we started with the large order of baked meatballs. When they arrived I could not believe they were the size of baseballs and beyond exceptional. Probably the best meatballs I have had at a restaurant in Charlotte. Our server, Michael paced the arrival of our plates perfectly and was attentive. The restaurant itself was cozy and reminded me of the Italian restaurants were have been to in NY. My Mom and I chose to share a small order of bruschetta and a small harvest salad. Both were fantastic! Finally we all split a small order of lasagna. We were stuffed and there was still half of the plate of meatballs left and half of the lasagna. All will be delicious leftovers. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their amazing menu.

Another great meal at Basilico. It was a comfortable temperature so we enjoyed dinner on the patio. Their garlic knots always satisfy and on this visit we started with fried mozzarella - great seasoning and a nice breading to cheese ratio.The veal parm reminded me of the large, breaded, tender veal I would enjoy and crave as a child. The meatballs had good flavor and the pasta had a good amount of sauce - not too little but not swimming.Basilico impresses with their classic dishes and continues to be one of my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurants.

Highly recommend making a reservation as seating is limited inside. The bar is full service, and a small patio is available outside. As an appetizer, tried the giant mozzarella stick. It's huge, definitely a sharable item! Comes with a side of marinara sauce which was delicious. A basket of garlic knots comes complimentary to the table. They weren't as pillowy soft as I'd like, but still good. For my entree, I ordered Tuscan chicken; angel hair pasta and broccoli parmesan as my two sides. My only complaint - the broccoli was over cooked with too much butter. Everything else was good!Highly recommend! Will definitely try this spot again.

I've heard mixed reviews for years and being a lover of Italian food I was very hesitant to give them a try but after seeing a review on IG recently convinced me to finally try it out. I ordered the chicken alfredo, mozzarella sticks, and cheese pizza....not bad at all and would definitely go back.

Nice little family ran spot - not a ton of seating but they do offer a bit of patio dining as well. The FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Garlic knots are soft n pillowy with some of the best red sauce I've had! Get the lasagna or spaghetti n meatballs- either will delight your tastebuds! The bruschetta was delicious also - just the right amount of balsamic vinegar and fresh everything! Our waiter was knowledgeable and made great suggestions since we were first timers! We will keep this place in rotation!

Friendly service. Foodwise it was ok. Huge portions but just kind of bland. It wasn't good nor bad. For example, the alfredo pasta with chicken I ordered was dry although the chicken was flavorful. We had a rocky start, but once the meal got started, everything was really good. We had a reservation, and our table was set for four, not six. We asked twice for silverware and plates. Two people in our party didn't get to enjoy the bread because they had no plates. Additionally, two others had to send back their silverware because it was very dirty. Our meatball appetizer was fantastic. Zucchini and Tomato Basil Soup was also delicious. The gravy was absolutely wonderful as well. I thought the balsamic vinaigrette was also really good. Every meal was wonderful. All of the people in our party were thoroughly satisfied with the meal. Service was average. We would all return. Overall, we had a nice experience.

We had a girl's day out and had a great lunch at Basilico's. Lunch choices at lunch prices are limited but you have a full menu choice even at lunch but the other options are at dinner prices. Food was very good. There was only one waitress to take care of the whole dining room. She delivered our food in a timely manner but we had to ask for refills and even after asking service was slow. The restaurant is nice and has options for large groups if need be. They also have outdoor seating.
