I always have a great time when I come here. Service is always great and the food is always yummy. I don't love sitting in the inside because it's loud, plus I usually have my dog with me (usually eat there before or after Skiptown), so I'm always on the patio which is great. Def love the patio vibe. I've been here a good bit over the years and always have delicious food. I really love the potato tortilla, which I get almost every time. I'll get sardines or another tapa at dinner time, but if I come here around lunch I'm probably gonna get the jamon and eggs Benedict which is delicious. I've once ordered the patatas bravas which were burnt, but they took it off my bill which was awesome. Honestly no complaints. If something happens like the patatas bravas, they take care of it, and otherwise food is just tasty with good service in the patio! Def come by!!!

Always a good time at any Barcelona Wine Bar locations! I've been a few times to this Charlotte location and the one in Raleigh.Their small plates are delicious and fun to share with the table. The servers are always knowledgeable and ready to give recommendations if you're not familiar with the food or wine! The vibes are always great! There is no validated parking, but there is paid street and garage parking available.

I debated giving 3 vs 4 stars for this review. Pay attention to the reviews mentioning how LOUD it is inside. I love the interior BUT I felt like I was at a nightclub rather than a restaurant. We were only there for 45 minutes and were more than ready to get our check. There is a fine line with having the music loud enough to feel festive/lively versus making you feel like you should be on the dance floor instead of eating. IMO Barcelona crossed the line to dance club. I'm putting this first because it really (negatively) impacts the experience. The food was really good. We went for restaurant week but when we saw how limited the menu was for that and that ice cream was the dessert, we ordered off the regular menu. We had the olives and giardiniera, potato tortilla, broccolini, meat paella and cheesecake (to go). Drink choices were the red sangria and some non alcoholic beer. We had to ask for bread twice but it's restaurant week and they were slammed. We were glad that they still had some because it was delicious! We each had different favorites. I felt the paella was too greasy but it was my husband's favorite. It comes with a sauce but I didn't see the need for the sauce. My favorites were the broccolini, cheesecake and THE SANGRIA!!! The sangria was the best I've had...not sweet!! Love love love. The cheesecake won me over. My first thought was how tiny of a slice it was and that I would not order it again BUT then I tasted it and I will be ordering it again! Note that my husband found the spice level too much for the giardiniera . If you are a spice wimp, skip it. I loved it! It was fresh tasting and for non olive lovers, the other items in it don't taste like olives so you can still enjoy it.We parked in the garage across the street and it cost $10. We will be back for the amazing cocktails and food but only when we can sit outside at the patios. The blaring techno music wasn't the vibe we were looking for at dinner.

The Barcelona Wine Bar is a tapas style restaurant with a cozy, rustic vibe setting the tone for a relaxed dining experience. Our server, Alazar, was attentive and helped guide the meal choices based on our taste preferences. I was surprised in a good way with the Olive Oil Cake because of its unique texture and flavor, almost like a sweet cornbread with an olive oil twist. Make your For the chocolate lovers out there, the chocolate cake is for you.

This is literally my favorite restaurant in Charlotte. It never lets me down never! This is a tapas restaurant and they get everything right. The bread that they give at the table is served hot and fluffy. The tapas options are always really good and you can count on them to push you just slightly out of your comfort zone. I highly recommend trying the sangria particularly the red sangria it is amazing. Also recommend trying the olive oil cake. If you haven't had olive oil cake just imagine a European pound cake and that's as close as you can get lol.

If I could give this establishment 10 stars I would ! Let's start with the romantic lighting ! It's perfect! The ambience is amazing. Our server Tatiana was personable and provided wonderful recommendations. I opt for a glass of Riesling which had the perfect blend of sweet and dry . We tried several dishes , the steak, chicken thighs , mushrooms, cabbage, broccolini, and shrimp . All were delicious but I wouldn't get the cabbage again because of the tangy taste on the back end. The manager Bradford came over and introduced himself . He was friendly made sure our visit was going well . I forgot to mention this was my first time here and I will definitely become a regular! Way to go Barcelona wine bar !

Another work trip dinner success! Visited North Carolina for the first time, and first time at Barcelona Wine Bar. Overall, the vibe of the restaurant was so cool, well decorated, and I so enjoyed it. We had many orders of different tapas, and I didn't get many pictures, but I DEFINITELY enjoyed the following: braised fennel, patatas bravas, calamari, spiced beef empanadas, chorizo, pork belly, and the croquetas (heavy emphasis on the croquetas because I enjoyed that the most). I also opted for a mocktail this evening, and I had the Tea Time (I also tried my colleagues Buzz Bee's and it was good!) and it was DELICIOUS! I wanted a second helping for sure! I also tried the olive oil cake, which was delicious. A bit dry, but that's subjective to my tastes, it still was delicious! The service was so attentive and they were very responsive to our loud and rambunctious group! They were patient and so great to us.

I haven't be to this restaurant in a while, and boy has it changed! The quality just isn't there anymore, and everything we ordered (besides the charcuterie board) was salty! Also, the reservations aren't honored in a decent time, we waited almost an hour past our reservation, and still wasn't seated, so we decided to just seat at the bar, and here comes a "manager" apologizing and wanting to buy our drinks! I can understand a couple of minutes wait for a reservation, however, an hour is crazy! Maybe take a look and see how many reservations you have and don't over book! That was more annoying than the salty food!

This was my first time at Barcelona and I can assure you that I will be back! I love the decor of the restaurant. There's books and a record player on display when you first walk in and that's my love language. Our server Ashley was kind and thorough when explaining the wine options and the food! She informed us how long it would take for large plates and tapas options. This allowed us to promptly place our orders so that there wouldn't be a delay. Omg, the olive oil cake is DIVINE! Absolute must try. My dinner was 10/10 as well! I can't recommend this place enough!
