Barbecue Shack

You haven't lived until you have tackled a BARBECUE Shack tenderloin biscuit. The most tender, huge slice of breakfast meat that just melts in your mouth. I always cut it in two for the next day - weekend made! Biscuits are always perfect and not crumbly.... The only downside is the fight to get in the parking lot. But wait your turn because it is more than worth it.

Had a friend tell me about their pork loin sandwich so when I found myself close by, I had to give it a try. I used the drive thru so no food pic, sorry. The drive thru was pretty quick considering there were quite a few cars in line. Ordered the pork loin on a bun (biscuits are a choice as well). $5.50 total. I can deal with that. I ordered it plain for my first try. The pork was generously thick and breaded extending about an inch beyond the edge of the bun. The pork is very tender and easy to bite. It had good flavor. I guess when someone hyped a place, your expectations get easier. I mean, it was good but not life-changing. In retrospect, I will order this sandwich dressed next time. Probably with Mayo, salt, pepper, cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickle. My initial order showed me it was a good canvas to build on. I'll update on my next go-around. Definitely worth a try. Stop on in.

Disappointed that we paid almost 34 dollars for food we couldn't eat. Seriously the vinegar based sauce was so strong it would take your breath away. Few fries and pups for 34 dollars. Got a BLT and bacon was so hard it would crack teeth. I'm not doing this again. They are dip happy here and I'm not happy with their dipping dip on my food. I live here in town but will drive to Lexington for bbq. My stomach was bubbly after trying to eat what I could and had gas something awful from that wet meat. My husband told me to go change pants because I clearly sharted mine. Terrible terrible experience! If you wanna stay shartless at least don't get the gassy bbq plate. Maybe just go somewhere else altogether because the tea tasted like cigarettes as well.

I love their gravy biscuits and a side of bacon that I normally get. I rarely eat there other than breakfast. Always friendly and quick service. I highly recommend this for a breakfast meal. The only thing I wish they would add is a TV in the corner and put it on the News Channel.

Prices are absolutely ridiculous. I went for a bacon biscuit and a tea and it was over $8. I can go to any other bbq restaurant and get it for $5. Also tie bacon was completely burnt to a crisp and they give a whopping 2 slices. I should have never went to somewhere besides my usual place.

Nothing beats there tenderloin biscuits in the morning. Plus there bbq is right on point.

Yall are just too expensive for a grilled chicken salad when you get a small price of chicken and the rest is lettuce. I asked for 2 extra ranches and I got just 2 ranches! Sooooo someone wasn't paying attention. Y'all have gone down hill for years now.

BEST BARBECUE SHACK EVER. Everyone one here just hating. The my got the best sausage egg and cheese and bacon egg and cheese for good hash browns an tater tots. I recommend it in early morning hard working people!

Horrible customer service, they don't care about repeat business. They treated a customer re entry that was a stoke patient like a dog, and embarrassed her in front of other customers. They got an order wrong and when someone else who works there told us to go back and show the receipt to get it replace STEVEN told the customer she got what she paid for and he didn't have time for her. Completely horrible!

Visited the restaurant at 10:30 on Tuesday morning, not a busy time for the business. While accepting the order, found my ticket had been up charged a due to the clear lack of attention through the drive through speaker. I was then met with very sour expressions by two young girls when in attempt to address the miscommunication. Management was contacted and informed me the situation would be addressed. Due to this not being the first instance I and a family member have experienced with these employees, this will be our last visit to the Barbecue shack. As frequent patrons of this establishments it is unfortunate the lack of service standards held for employees has led to this disappointing decision.
