I went in today to have breakfast after my appointment.I'm truly glad we went in because the service was amazing, especially with Tater (Scott) and the other people there, like the owner, Rhonda.I got the breakfast plate with scrambled eggs with onions, bacon , grits, and toast, as well as coffee on the side. The coffee was fresh and not too watered down like many places I've been to.I will note that the buttery grits were so creamy and just perfectly made. I've had really hard, disgusting grits before.My son had the club sandwich and he really enjoyed it. He had no complaints at all and even saved the other half for later because it was a lot, lol.I started asking questions about the place and how long it has been there. Rhonda is the daughter of the original owner, and he was well known in the area, she stated. They have a nice photo to commemorate him with him having a big smile on his face . I loved the quaint, small mom-and-pop vibe of the place. Honestly, I appreciate places like these so much more because you can tell they are doing the cooking with love. As we sat and enjoyed our meal, we heard and saw what seemed to be regulars. You can tell you are treated like family here. I loved hearing the joking between customers and employees because it felt lighthearted. I also enjoyed how the tables have so many pictures of customers, etc.I also ended up ordering a cheesesteak for my daughter to go with some fries . Let me tell you, I made sure to ask for a bite of it from her, lol. Well, I'm glad I did. Now I know I can enjoy a cheesesteak from here.I shall note...While no, it is not the normal Philly we know, literally from Philadelphia, it is quite good with the hoagie roll they use, and the meat is tender and not overly chopped. We also had a piece of cake that they were giving out today, and it was red velvet. I'm not a big fan of that flavor, but it really was pretty darn good.All in all, it is a simple yet great establishment to get a great cup of coffee and a nice meal that isn't going to break the bank. I am truly grateful to Tater for his amazing customer service skills and sweet nature. To all the employees and the owner, thank you for having a place that many call home.

Went today food was great and friendly associates. Small place . Open at 4 am -2 m-f and 5-2 on sat . Excellent prices too . Locally owned business . Yes it a little hole in the wall but great food

This tiny place makes a great BLT! Clean friendly-local place. We had just come back from hiking Crowders Mountain looking for food when we saw Balls Grille. We were very glad we stopped. Nothing fancy- just good food for inexpensive prices-BLT and a root beer was 4.40 with tax. Yum!

My wife and I and her coworkers love Balls Grill. They have great cheeseburgers and we love their home style fried squash. It's a light and crispy batter on fresh squash. The folks who cook and serve are so nice. And you can get groceries of many kinds here, too, from livermush to bread to a 20-ounce bottle soda to fresh tomatoes and peanuts. They serve breakfast all day while they're open, too. If you want a local little place where the neighborhood stops to eat, this is it!

Westend location is amazing!!! Never been to the main location but I'd imagine being owned by the same people it's just as good. Me and my husband had breakfast this morning for less than $13... Amazing food, more than we could eat and such a good price!!

Ordered 2 bologna sandwiches. Get home and find mold on the bread and a receipt wrap in one of the sandwiches. Call up there to let them know. Spoke with a guy and gave him my number for a replacement. Knowing I would never be back. A lady calls me back and said in order to make it right bring the sandwiches back and then I could get a replacement. I told her I was disgusted and threw them in the trash. I wasn't about bringing them back, it was warning her so they wouldn't serve molded bread to others. She said that her bread was just fine. I wasn't trying to get free food in fact I'll NEVER eat @ this place ever again. Furthermore learn some business manners.Mold yeah NO.

Just start going there this year and I love there breakfast. Didn't had there lunch yet. Also the staff make you feel welcome. Never seen anyone with so much energy in the morning like these lady's

So i ordered a burger on toast today and this is what I got. As much money as I spend in this place I would at least expect a better burger. This is the only time I've had a half burger from this place. I will still continue to support this local business.
