Love love the music factory! I have been lucky enough to watch three concerts this year at the music factory and have really enjoyed all three! The amphitheater really does not have a poor spot in the house. There's also lawn seating as well! If you're going to a popular artist, you may be competing with the taller folks standing - to be expected - but overall great seating options. There's plenty of parking if you plan to drive, especially if you arrive early. Definitely worth it as you can walk right over from your spot and it's pretty easy to head out. Parking for events is typically $20. The security procedure getting in is also quite efficient. Make sure to check the bag policy before coming in. If you have assigned seats it's worth it to stop through VGBG to wait out the line, plus they validate parking if you're looking to have a meal before the concert. And if you're looking for other food options there's plenty within walking distance. Just check the days and hours, as concerts during the week may not have as many food options. The amphitheater has really nice restroom facilities and a few options for food and drinks. My friend and I really liked the cocktails - the watermelon tasted like a jolly rancher. They also come with their own cups, which you can bring back later for a small discount on a refill. The drinks are quite expensive, which is to be expected for onsite concessions. The Fillmore is also a notable venue, as it is really intimate and cozy. It was great because you can see your favorite artists up close. So happy that Charlotte has great venues for artists that I love. Looking forward to coming back again and again.

Excellent exhibit of British Graffiti artist, Banksy. The art of Banksy, showcased some of his most popular and some work I had not seen before. So interesting , thought provoking, some if it just made sense, the artwork, some kinda crazy, some cool, some actually hard to look at, some funny. Banksy definitely liked to spark conversation through his work. He is still a mystery , no one knows who he is. Some of his pieces are amazing. Definitely worth a stroll around, took about an hour and a half to see it all. Cool little gift area at the end. Tickets cheaper online !

Attended the mermaid experience and it was enjoyable! Bathrooms are spacious!! Was able to find free parking but it is a short walk away for people opposed to it. It seems to always be something going on

For once in a long while, my husband and I decided to go Hipster...so we headed out to this music-plus destination. I've been to The Fillmore before, but never bothered to sample some of the cool restaurant/bars within this complex. Tonight, my husband and I checked out 8.2.0. Pizzeria & Bar (Amazing Cauliflower Crust Pizza & Cauliflower Balls!!) and VBGB Beer Hall (Lotsa Beer!), then walked over to the Underground, right next door to The Fillmore, to watch the Radiohead cover band. Next time we go, we may check out La Revolucion, a cool-looking Mexican joint within this complex. I've been to Osso Bucco long, long time ago (before the place became a full-fledged entertainment complex)...and I hate that it closed down. Think maybe this place can use a few more nicer restaurants (like Osso?). Honestly, I can't believe it took me this long to (more thoroughly) check out this super-fun complex! Quite the Blast...and Yes, I will be back!

This venue is a great size for more intimate musical acts. On the negative, parking is no longer free and ranges from $20 VIP (read not far away) to $5 lots (don't wear your heels 'cause yer gonna walk). On the positive, we were upgraded to regular seats from lawn at no charge since we got there early. That's a nice touch. The way it is arranged, I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. There are also places to get beer, water, wine and food. Yes, it's overpriced but you are a captive audience. No different than any concert or sports venue.I would also say that the acoustics for an outdoor venue are very good. I have been to many of these amphitheaters and all you hear sometimes are muddy echoes. Props to whoever was running the board because everything sounded great. You are there for the music after all, yes?

There's really good food... sushi or Mexican. There's so many music venues. And also bars for karaoke, volleyball, trivia, and more.

This venue is much smaller in proportion to the PNC music pavilion, however it's nice to see the stage and performers with relative ease from the lawn. It's in/near uptown and NODA. ..recently had a name change. The venue is crammed up next to Wet Willie's, Label, VCBG and I'm curious that if you're a patron there that you can conveniently see the show at avidxchange, since it's an open air venue.. would be quite interested in that answer. Anyways, the show was loud. Parking was intense.. after snaking my way up through the parking garage to the roof deck, I asked if there were anymore spaces.. I had been praying intermittently while driving and stopping, drive, stop, drive, stop, halt. And thank you, Jesus! I got THE very LAST SPACE! Felt sorry that the long line behind me had to go back down to ground and park elsewhere. Important tip: You can bring in small bags or purses. Blankets, towels or beach/lawn chairs to sit on. Empty or factory sealed water bottles. And obviously not guns, knives, weapons, or drugs. However one recommendation that would have greatly impacted my experience. . Please ban smoking.

The NC Music Factory packs an entertainment punch for Third Ward goers. A surplus of choices and none will disappoint. Small Bar and the saloon are great places to grab a quick beer or enjoy live music. Comedy Zone tends to have a varied lineup throughout the week and always has great improv nights. Check their schedule online as it varies. VBGB or Mattie's Diner are great places to grab a quick bite to eat. Post or pre-beer friendly food and all are available latenight. Parking can be a bit of a bear but is plentiful in the lot. Can cost $$ on occasion so be prepared with a little bit of cash. Lots of street parking near the saloon and Bask, but can sometimes be blocked off for big event weekends. VBGB has its own lot but can fill up fast. Catch a bite to eat, a show, a round of beers or enjoy the nightlife/people watching!

I went to an outdoor concert at the Music Factory on Saturday night and had a great time! We saw the Yacht Rock Review. This was my first time at this venue and it is a really fun place! Multiple perfovenues, lots and f bars and restaurants. A fun place and a fun crowd, especially on the Saturday night before Halloween! But I was disappointed in one thing, and shocked that a very large multi faceted facility named "The Music Factory" would have this issue:We could not clearly hear the vocals. The bass and drums were plenty loud, but not the vocals. At first I thought it was the mix, but when we left (we were standing in the stage left area of the crowd), we walked through the cone directly in front of the stage, and could clearly hear the vocals. This means that their mid range speakers only covered the middle area. They badly need more midrange speakers to cover the stage left and right areas.Midrange sound is directional, whereas bass level sound is omnidirectional. As I said, very surprising!
