I wanted to update my review of Aqui es Cocina Mexican restaurant. I have eaten at this location several times since my first review. I have some constructive criticism. My husband and I wanted a good margarita. We asked our waiter in their opinion what was the best margarita that they had to offer. We ordered the margarita suggested. The margarita was very fancy served in a pineapple, but I have to say it was one of the weakest most bland margaritas I've ever had. Waist of $ Today, my daughter and I had lunch at this location. We ordered the cheese dip. The cheese dip was SO runny, more of a liquid than a melted cheese. Our waiter was attentive , but I did find it uncomfortable in that at the end of the meal when my daughter and I were having a nice conversation, our waiter interrupted us to aggressively clean the table while we were sitting there. He used a wet rag and knocked noticeable food particles from the table right on to my daughter's lap. We felt like we were being rushed to leave, even though very few people were in the restaurant and it was far from closing time.

I decided to try this restaurant because I work close to this location and have seen it a few times and also I believe I saw a SM video of this business once so I decided to try it. I went in on a Wednesday, in which I realized that they have Wednesday specials which are actually pretty decent. When I went in there wasn't really anyone there so the service was good, the waitress was attentive, but maybe too much so due to there not being anyone there. I ordered some on special tacos and a margarita, the margarita was huge and the taco was pretty good, a great size portion for the price. I was pleasantly surprised with the margarita, however I really couldn't finish it all which is a good problem to have. Overall I will probably give them another try if I'm in the mood for some Mexican food but we shall see.I'm looking in my phone now and I took pictures and videos but it seems they may have gotten deleted so my regards for not being able to include.

I was going to take pictures for this review but in my eating frenzy I totally forgot. It was all so delicious! We had flautas, which were the perfect crispy texture, quesabirria (very tasty), and street tacos. The service is impeccable, and the restaurant's decor is very unique, with murals and greenery everywhere you look. Their Wednesday special is unbeatable--our meal was under $20 because we didn't order drinks.

Wow! My first impression of Aqui es Mexico was one of surprise, awe, and overall enjoyment! I had the longest day and typically wouldn't have been on this side of HP for dinner, but my daughter needed medication that was only available at the CVS down the road. While we waited for our meds, my daughter mentioned she was craving quesadillas. So off we went. The restaurant was playing some pretty loud, modern music which had some explicit lyrics but other than that, everything else was amazing. The ambiance, the service and the food all went well! I picked something at random under their house specialty portion of the menu, Carnitas de Quiroga, and I was shocked when the platter came to the table (see photo). Description: Slow Cooked Michoacan Style Pork, served with beans, guacamole, pico, and corn tortillas. I love that it was topped with pickled onions and our waitress brought some tasty salsa that just took the dish up a notch. I will absolutely be back!

Went for one last lunch with coworkers on my last day of work. This place always has fresh, tasty food, fantastic art and amazing decor. The staff was friendly from start to finish. They offer a great lunch menu with a good variety of options, and I've always left full. The pricing does tend to be a bit more than you'd expect from Mexican restaurants, but then quality is also really good!On this visit I got the Burrito Raquel from the lunch menu, and it was packed with steak and chorizo and topped with a nice portion of queso. , with sides of rice and beans. This burrito was seriously flavorful with the added chorizo, and they did not skimp! Wishing I still worked as close to this spot to grab a great dinners. At some point I'll have to take a longer lunch so I can go back!

The carnitas were tender and full of flavor, along with good black beans and rice. Solid dinner. Busy restaurant on NYE, and the service was decent. Glad we went early. My husband enjoyed his enchiladas verde.

The server was very friendly and she took very good care of us. The ambiance was great and mix of Frida and luchador decorations. The food came out quick and was delicious. We recently moved to the area and finding this little gem is fantastic. This will be part of our normal rotation!

When Aqui es Mexico succeeded Guacamole at this location last year, one thing became clear not long thereafter: this place is different. Aqui es Mexico offers both traditional dishes not always available elsewhere as well as interesting fusion offerings such as Mexican sushi. Add to that an active social media presence and some tantalizing specials (i.e. $5 Wednesdays or half-priced app Fridays), and if nothing else, Aqui es Mexico deserves credit for trying to separate itself from the pack.My wife and I visited on a Friday night to find the place busy, but given how big the restaurant is, we had no trouble getting a table. Colorful murals adorned the walls, and the atmosphere can best be described as lively. The music is loud, but unless someone is celebrating a birthday (they go all-out in recognizing that here), it isn't overwhelming. The menu is extensive, and I appreciated the page's worth of seafood offerings. Whether you're in the mood for the tried and true (burritos/tacos/fajitas) or want to try something different (the aforementioned sushi, several different molcajetes, more margarita variations than you knew existed), Aqi es Mexico has you covered. Hungry and eyeing leftovers, we went with an empanadas starter, carnitas, and cochinita pibil.Beto provided excellent service throughout the meal, and the kitchen was impressively fast and efficient. Though it was a busy night, we got our food quickly. The pricing was moderate - entrees in the teens - and we got a good amount of food for our money. For as much thought went into the menu and décor here, it's unfortunate that the food wasn't as impressive. Our empanadas (two beef and two chicken) looked great as they were fried to a golden brown. The beef were tasty, but the chicken were decidedly bland. The cochinita pibil was nicely sauced though not as intensely flavored as I've had elsewhere. Ditto the carnitas, which were appealingly crispy on the outside but underseasoned. The sides were your standard rice/beans/salad, akin to what you'd find in many Mexican restaurants in the area.Because nearly everything else - service, ambiance, menu variety - was a plus here, I definitely wouldn't rule out a return to Aqui es Mexico. Here's hoping they can up their seasoning game.

Love this place. The food not only tastes good, it looks good. Service was really good . Our waiter was on Point. Restaurant was clean . Bathrooms didn't have toilet paper in the women's bathroom. One other negative was the hostess was not friendly at all. No big deal we all have bad days but when that's the first person that greets you as the face of the company it's pretty important to at least fake it. At a later point I ask where the restrooms were and she was rude for no reason. All in all that will not stop us from going back because it's a great place with great food .
