We stopped here on a nice fall Sunday because we wanted to support a business affected by Helene. We sat outside in the sun with a flight of Cider and a Hot non alcoholic cider for the DD :-).Service was great, knowledgeable and very friendly. The adult cider flight was fantastic.

Perfect spot to round out a day of wine tasting! Ciders were each unique and flavorful. We tasted at the bar and our server was personable and provided great recommendations. Fun vibe inside as well. We wish we could have explored outdoors, but the rain kept us in.

My husband and I had a very nice time at Appalachian Ridge. We arrived shortly after they opened and since it was a weekday we ended up being the only ones here. It was so beautiful and peaceful out on the patio. They have tons of pretty areas on different levels outside as well as a gorgeous inside bar area. All of the ciders tasted good and the service was good as well. Each time we are in the area we will make this one of our stops.

I'm throwing down the gauntlet here peeps. I really would challange you to find a more pleasant place to wind up the day or maybe even spend the mid day. These are super nice folks serving a fabulous product crafted to the highest standards. The cider here is absolutely fabulous. The venue is an old barn with a large outside seating area overlooking the vineyards and apple orchard. They have brought old apple stock from Normandy to Western Carolina - Can you imagine a more delightful combo? You need to get out here and get you some, folks!!

Really enjoyed spending some time here. Live music on the hillside with apple orchards down below. The cider was good with a variety for flavors. Awesome bartender always smiling. Off the path a little bit but well worth the visit

TLDR: The place to visit in Hendersonville for cider, wine, or beer. Excellent customer service (shout out to Derek!), beautiful view, and delicious ciders and wines. I recommend their cider tasting and then trying some wines.Excellent cider bar in Hendersonville. While in the area for a bachelorette party, we visited Appalachian Ridge artisan cidery. It was easy to locate and offered ample parking. We were greeted upon arrival and checked out the cider menus on the bar. The employee at the indoor bar was friendly and helpful. She shared information about the available options and areas to sit. We chose to do the $12 cider tasting outside by the live music. I love the set up where they provide you with a small tasting glass right away with the first cider (Bald Top Mountain). Then the remaining ciders are brought to you in test tubes. These ciders can then be poured into the tasting glass as you progress through the tasting. Our favorites were the hopped and lavender ciders. Of course these were the two not sold in bottles. After the cider tasting, some of us ordered glasses, while others requested wine tastings at the outdoor bar. Derek greeted us and told us about the available wines from Saint Paul Mountain Vineyard across the street. Derek really made this experience special. He was enthusiastic, friendly, and efficient. He answered all of our questions and served us an extra tasting of their newest cider. Overall, we had an amazing experience here and highly recommend this cider bar to others!Note: the live music was excellent. The volume was ideal and the songs fit the vibe. If you don't care for the music, there are other places to sit inside and outside away from the music.

We arrived just at opening after doing some hiking on a Saturday morning. We did a cider flight which included 7 tastings - some of their ciders and some wine from another winery they have partnered with in order to bring some muscadine wine to the area - Sanders Ridge Winery. What we had:From Appalachian Ridge:Bearwallow Mountain - their original cider, which was lightly sweet and very enjoyable!Sugarloaf Mountain - a sweet cider, which was okay, just liked the flavor of Bearwallow more. The BlackBear - blend of blackberry wine and cider. This was very good, definitely can taste the blend of both the wine and cider.Hibiscus Ginger - very floral front with ginger at the end. It's good, but not something I could drink much of. The tasting was enough. From Sanders Ridge Winery:Carolina Breeze - very strong muscadine flavor, a good wine.Carolina Peach - loved this one, definitely peachy.Carolina Sunshine - a tropical muscadine wine. Good, but preferred the other two.We left with a bottle of Bearwallow and Blackbear. Definitely recommend if you are in the area for a tasting. Service was good and friendly, with plenty of space to enjoy your flight with mountain views. They are also dog friendly, as we had our dog with us.

Fun place! Derek is the best. Love the $10 tasting. You get to try 5 different ciders. The bald top mountain was my favorite- dry mix of cider and champagne. The inside is a cool barn converted to a Cidery. Great outdoor space. Will definitely be back.
