Antico Italian Restaurant

We went to this restaurant for the very first time yesterday, with friends and family. The restaurant is so close to our home yet I never knew it even existed. We arrived just after 5 o'clock and were seated within about 15 minutes. Everything was delicious from the calamari to the main course selections. The wine list isn't huge, but it does have a good selection.The size of the dining room is perfect and the arched halls and doorways are a charming touch.

I definitely recommend this restaurant. The food, service and ambience deserves five stars. The food was delicious and the presentation was picture perfect. The staff was friendly and efficient.

Antico always delivers. Great food, friendly courteous staff and fair prices. This time we had the Frutta del Mar and Gnocchi. Both hit the mark.

Best chicken marsala. I wish they were open for lunch more than just Friday and Saturday.

Great food.- House bread - outstanding, fresh from the oven and steaming warm!- Zuppa di cozze (mussels) - good but a bit too salty, and some of the mussel meat was small and didn't look fresh- Rigatoni antico with shrimp - delicious, creamy, and rich. Great flavors, and perfectly al dente pasta. Very filling that I couldn't finish (yay leftovers for lunch tomorrow!) - Gamberi fra diavolo (shrimp linguini) - quite spicy; I can tolerate spicy foods decently well, but that dish was slightly too much for me. - Scampi - good and lightly flavored- Branzino (day's special) - good, very solid. The branzino meat didn't taste anything special to me though.

Today we had a bad experience at this restaurant which we have gone to several times in the past. The restaurant was way too cold and the music was disturbingly too loud. There was only one server and she was not enough to properly provide good service. She did her best , I have no problem with her. The salmon was undercooked and after we waited so long my wife was very disappointed. They did take off the price of the salmon but the meal was ruined. Not coming back.

I enjoyed this location. Food is very good quality. Had the Vitello Martino and the taste was on point. Staff and very accommodating and has a nice family cozy atmosphere. Will look to come back in the future.

Never knew this restaurant was here - what a great discovery! Decor was lovely, service was good and the food was delicious ! Can't wait to go back!

Antico is one of the best Italian restaurants in Huntersville!! It's a small restaurant however it has the best food in the area. Every one of their pasta dishes are excellent. In addition you can never go wrong with their Chicken and Veal Parmigiana. Portions are large and service is excellent . They do not serve pizza and don't take reservations. A must try but be prepared to wait if you arrive after 6:30. 5 Stars
