January 2025 I came here for the second time. The service is very slow. They charge you for a bottle of water instead of giving you water. Also on the menu I have two chili relleno for around $12. And they only brought me one chili relleno.I kind of had to stand my ground and tell them to bring me a second chili Riano and they resisted. And said they have small chilies. Or something. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend the place. Except for the fact that the one chili ran, I had was average. Her salsa was like red water. Did the tortilla chips were good. But overall, not a positive experience.

It was a very nice quaint restaurant. I'm sure most people checking Yelp reviews for places to try, have had better Hispanic food elsewhere. We walked in and were greeted in Spanish. We ordered our food in Spanish and we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time. The flavors fell a little flat for me, but the Service was sweet and friendly. I should have clarified rice and beans being refried beans, but we were brought a mixture of whole black bean and yellow rice, indicating that this is more of a Central American diner than Mexican. If you know the difference you know. I would like to return to try dishes more akin to Central American cuisine.

You know how somethings just work out, well I walked to the area planning on visiting a different restaurant that just was not what I was expecting so I walked farther looking for a different place to eat and stumbled on this hidden gem. A Honduran/central american food with A dynamic menu of options. The service was great but they were not busy. I asked the server for her recommendations and she gave me 3 suggestions.I had 2 tamales, 1 chicken and 1 crema. They were good, a little different than what I am used too. The chicken in the tamale was excellent.I ordered the servers first recommendation and it was fantastic. I do not recall the name but it basically was Fried Chicken with a slaw and sauce over plantain chips. First time I have tried anything like this and the flavor was fantastic and the amount of food for the price was phenomenal.Definitely would visit again and try so many other items on the menu. Give this place a shot, I don't feel you would regret it.

My wife picked this restaurant for dinner on 7/724. I was skeptical to go, but we went anyway.We ordered $27.00 plate, which came with rice salad, chicken, very thinly sliced beef ribs, fried sausage, and yucca. Also, I ordered a piece of birria for $6.00. The birria was just a tortilla with a teaspoonful of cheese and beef. The sauce that came (very transparent) with it was in a small togo salad dressing container. This was a joke. The $27.00 plate: all the meat was dry and very thinly cut and spread over the plate to look big.I guess I will not be returning. I have been to Mexican/ Latino restaurant and had a similar plate. This was like 25% of what other restaurants serve.When we walked in, there were two tables occupied by a couple and a family. That was a sign for us to walk back out.

I have been searching for a place in Charlotte that serves really good pozole and I have found it at Angela's. From the presentation to the taste of the food, appetizing and delectable. And the inside of the restaurant was clean, and new looking with lovely music. Server was nice and provided great service. Highly recommend, I will be coming back.

Sign says Mexican, it's not. It's Honduran. Cashier can't speak English. Server can barely speak or understand English. Ordered chili relleno's she brought me back a grilled jalapeno on a plate said they don't have them but they're on the menu. Everything is cooked in the water or oil they cook tripe. Gets one star because there isn't a zero
