This place is classic diner cuisine! The patty melt is the best in Charlotte and the onion rings are old school and proper! Service is always attentive and friendly. The Greek dishes are really special and healthy. Support local and go now!

Americana restaurant, I got no problem with it.This family style restaurant is clean,nice and well ran. Had the iron skillet breakfast. I got no problem with it. My wife had two eggs bacon and home fries with toast. She got no problem with it. I had a side of biscuits and gravy. I got no problem with it.I had a glass of sweet tea, I got no problem with it.I also had a side of grits with cheese. I got a problem with that, that's why you lost one star. The grits tasted like Quaker Oats and they put a slice of cheese in it and didn't mix it up. Americana restaurant overall I got no problem with it. Lol May God Bless all my fellow foodies Always.

Great local establishment that I often frequent for breakfast and lunch, give them a try if you are in the area and you won't be disappointed.

I've tried it 3 times because I saw a review that talked about how delicious they were. I have now come to a decision about that. I believe they must have paid them to do a bogus review because all three times I ate there it was the nastiest food I ever put in my mouth. Gross!

This little diner is a gem for sure, and not a well-hidden one either. Not for night owls, come early for the specials and come often for they change every day. You'll be spoiled for choice with the many vegetable sides offered and spoiled for sweets as well with several lovely handmade desserts in the cooler. In the City full of great diners, this one is darn near the top! A favorite for locals, and a treat for those visiting from out of town. Come in and enjoy the excellent pork chops and Superior service.

This place came recommended from a friend who frequents this place because it is near his office. It also had 4 stars with ample number of reviews and was listed as one $ which is rare in Matthews.I sat at a booth on the side with the fireplace and my barber just happened to be at the table in front of me. He recommended the special so I followed suit. It came with 2 eggs, choice of meat, choose of hash browns, home fries or grits and toast or biscuits and I added white gravy. This was indeed a solid hearty breakfast for a great price. There is nothing fancy about this place but after my first experience and now having 2 friend vouch for it, I think it's safe to say that they provide a good service and consistent food in an inviting homey atmosphere. The coffee was good and they kept my cup full the entire time I was seated. Enough said. Give it a try.

Yuck! This was about the worst breakfast I've had in a long time. First off about 1/4 of the staff is wearing a mask and that small percentage isn't wearing them properly. Second the service is subpar. Our server didn't make sure the lid was on top of my nieces cup and she spilled it 2 twice. She wasn't attentive, didn't wear a mask and didn't account for the mistake she made on our order. Third was the food. No one in my family enjoyed their food. No one completed a dish. We ordered 2 Western omelettes (1 with grits and toast the other with hashbrowns and toast), 2 Country Fried Steaks (both with grits, eggs and toast). The toast was cold at arrival to the table. I am in the area frequently to visit family and this place is very close to where I stay. The location isn't anything out of an architecture magazine-but the food and service are fantastic. I opted for over medium eggs during both visits and they were perfect. My coffee mug was never empty. The wait staff is polite and attentive. I will keep returning.

Great food, great price, fantastic service. My favorite place in Charlotte. I eat here at least 2x per week. Highly recommend
