Amber Jack Seafood & Steaks

I went here a few days ago and got the salad bar included with my meal. Ended up feeling sick after eating just the salad and went home. Ended up with awful food poisoning from improperly stored food. Would not recommend eating here, worst sickness I've ever felt.

You cannot say enough about this place...the food is incredible :) the service is top notch!! Payne the bartender does it all makes everyone feel like he is entertaining you at his house..just a great guy.The owners Julie and Chebo well they just want you to enjoy everything about your visit which we always do. It has become a weekly thing for us and the never disappoint. You will enjoy the food, people and the atmosphere it is just a great place.

This place has more rules and limitations than a tax return. You walk up and a sign says "no curbside orders." You go to order food to go and there is a lengthy sign encouraging you to check your order before you leave because they will not fix it otherwise. They should check the orders themselves or check it with the customer. Instead they bag it up and give it to you and you have to unpack it all to check the orders. If you are paying with any type of card there is a surcharge. Then the go staff at times will ask "do you want to leave a tip?" Well no because I'm checking the orders themselves myself and paying a surcharge. Servers make under minimal wage and therefore depend on tips. Staff at registers don't depend on tips. They squeeze every penny and nickel out of you. Food is consistently good and at the prices it should be good. When choosing menu items you can't mix fried and broiled items on combinations for some reason. A piece of fried flounder cost the same as a piece of broiled flounder. Again strict rules. After being told "no" to what I want on a combination platter it's just not worth it.

Great food and service. The Sunday buffet has so many choices. My family and I love to go there.

This wasn't my first time to Amber Jack but it had been a minute. We called ahead for a large group of 13 and they were able to accommodate us without hesitation. The service was incredible - we had the pleasure of having Payne as our server. The food was pretty tasty. We stared off the meal with calamari, fried pickles, and fried jalapeños. I had the chicken Tuscany, which was a huge portion and very flavorful. Others in the group had the surf and turf and the salt and pepper shrimp and said they were both very good. I tried the steak and it was cooked and seasoned well.

Great casual restaurant with great selection and service. Everything was wonderful. Salad bar with lots of solid choices. Good food.

Old school, very old school!, even hand written receipts...friendly helpful staff, good size menu, I had flounder and baby shrimp, both were good, mashed potato's and gravy were pretty plain, prices were cheap.

I wouldn't know how good the food is because we were turned away with "we're closing down the buffet line now." This was after we drove about 30 minutes to arrive before the 4 pm advertised closing time. At 3:30 there was one to greet us. After being ignored for 10 minutes we asked a passing server if we were supposed serve to seat ourselves and were told we were too late. As we left I knocked on the office door and was simply given an apology for our "misfortune" with no offer to make amends.Maybe Amber Jacks serves good food but lacks the requisite hospitable attitude of any restaurant serving the public. I have no reason to ever return.

This is a very clean and dependable family restaurant. Service is excellent at dinner. Nothing fancy but my wife really likes the salad bar. Always fresh with a variety of greens and typically a protein available. Free hush puppies when you sit down are also good. I like the chopped steak with mushrooms and gravy. Grilled chicken is also great. The only thing I do not like is the Deviled Crab. I tried it twice and was very disappointed. The Sunday brunch has the best fried chicken anywhere. Definitely worth a try.

Very nice place, not fancy but clean. I enjoyed the salad bar, again, not fancy but fresh and stocked well. Our server was friendly and helpful and the prices we reasonable. I had the steak, cooked perfectly and spaghetti as a side (it was kinda meh). My wife enjoyed her crab stuffed jumbo shrimp as well. The bowl of hush puppies was outstanding. We will definitely return
