Great spot for beer and cocktails. The vibe is super cozy with tvs and games to keep yourself entertained. The espresso martini was amazing and they had a great selection of beers for every taste. The bartenders were super nice and service was great even with a couple large groups that came in.

If you're feeling more social, scoot your patoot over to one of those ultra-luxe barstools and have a pour (or four) of beer, an array of liquors, wine, and/or a quality cocktail (the nerdy muscle-daddy eye candy + witty banter included w/each drink if John is working ). Don't let the "brewing" fool you, this is a fully stocked bar with a spectacular array of whiskies, especially!

John's a great bartender awesome guy that really made us love this place! Great recommendations and stories. Definitely recommend that you meet him! Cute bar with nice seating and clean bathrooms.

Loved this place! It's very unassuming, almost looks like a large shed. But it's a little oasis inside! It's decorated with painted walls and lights and plants galore. There's also parking (!!) - a rarity in South End. The drinks were great. In addition to having beer - they have the full Ass Clown line up - they have a full bar with a knowledgeable bartender. You can ask for anything! I basically described which liquor and the vibe I was looking for and BOOM. We stopped in to watch March madness. They have several TVs. However, if that's not your thing, it's set up nicely to tuck you away with a board game from their collection or to find a cozy spot for a little group. No food here, but there are some benches outside if you'd like to enjoy the weather. Dog friendly both inside and outside, too. A wonderfully laid back bar in South End. We will be back!!

Get the Ass Clown IPA! As a New England native this is the best NE IPA I have had in NC. Also had the Rolled Old Fashion made by Justin who did a fantastic job and was excellent! I highly recommend both.

Found this place completely by accident while strolling through southend on a Friday evening. I was surprised when I read brewery because from the outside it looks nothing like a typical brewery. It is in a nondescript white building that used to house a barcade. Walking inside I was shocked to find a speakeasy vibe with low lights, leather accents, and comfy chairs, if felt cozy. The biggest surprise though was the fully stocked bar and cocktail menu they had there. The bartender made my friend a tequila old fashioned that he took the time to smoke. It received rave reviews! I later found out that this is a project from the popular Ass Clown Brewery located in Cornelius. I should have guessed when I saw the Ass Clown glasses. The Pilsner I tried was smooth and the best part was our bartender was very friendly and happy to answer questions. We even watched him custom make cocktails for other patrons, you could tell he really enjoyed his craft. They do not have a kitchen but I was told they often hold events on the weekends with a food truck on site. While others like to complain about the amount of breweries in the city, I will never complain about having variety. These guys definitely bring something new to the scene and I look forward to going back.

Great location, alcohol selection on point. Except don't tell me how other bartenders make mistakes and keep your politics to yourself. Also don't offer me "this is the poor section and this is the $50 section" when asking for drink options.

Everything thing about this place is spot on. Great space with a variety of setting options and good conversation space, a full bar with everything from house-made Sangria to bacon-infused vodka in their blood mary's, and 20 plus beers from Ass Clown brewing on tap to include the four best uniquely wonderful stouts I have ever had in one place. 100% recommend. John the bartender is a wealth of information and fantastic to work with with!
