Akahana Asian Bistro

Been coming here the last 10 years. The core of the menu has always been consistent. Focus on sushi, and various Asian dishes from Chinese, Vietnamese, and more! Service has always been good. Though, tonight, my server was John. And he provided the BEST SERVICE I've had here in a decade. He was very thoughtful when it came to the details (sauce cups, to go bags, refills). I was left speechless, the only thing I asked for was my bill.I ordered the vegetable tempura udon, every other time the noodles are slightly over cooked, however today- THE KITCHEN WAS ON POINT! The Broth is the reason I keep re-ordering. Thank you so much! I'll be back soon

Love this place. Amazing BOGO sushi deal. Really good crab Rangoon's. Spicy edamame is bomb. My go to is sesame chicken with fried rice. Service is okay. Definitely could be better but food makes up for it.

Quick service in a low key environment. I loved bogo sushi night. Service was fast and the food was fresh. Perfect bites before a night out with my friends.

I've been here twice and it's my new spot!!! The specials are good, the staff is really nice! I had an amazing server Ella and the bartender was also great. The sushi is good and I loved the egg drop soup (not pictured). The restaurant isn't huge and I could see how someone would over look the space but they always have good music playing and the environment is welcoming.

Akahana remains at the top of my list for asian food in Charlotte!! Every time I eat here, I always get the best and most consistent food!When I dine in, the customer service is always great! The owners are so kind and courteous. When I order take out, the food is always ready very quickly!The prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are very good! There's plenty of parking in the parking lot!I recommend the pho, pad thai, and buy one get one free sushi!!

Stopped in here for dinner. I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. They have a special every day of buy one get one free. This was the perfect opportunity to try different rolls! The sushi as fresh and delicious.

Akahana has been my go to sushi for nearly 10 years. The sushi is fresh and the service, whether you have pickup or dine in is always consistent. The BOGO sushi is the best deal in town.

The atmosphere is weak to say the least. Took my family there today we walked in very plain environment. Nothing to brag about. The first thing I noticed was how cold the environment was on this cold rainy day today. It was so cold even with my jacket on I could still feel the cold. We order drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer was so nasty and rubbery and Chewy nobody in my family ate it. We all took one bite and nobody wanted to finish it. I decided at this point. It was best just to pay and leave. As we left and got near the cashier terminal, I noticed that part of the restaurant was a little warmer. I found it sad the waitress was sitting in the warm part of the restaurant and sat their customers in the cold part of the restaurant, we did mention it to the waitress and she said they have a problem with the heating system That takes all day for the place to warm up. Then she mentioned that's why she's wearing a sweatshirt at work. I recommend you avoid this facility at all costs Not worth your time or money.

Unfortunately I looked at the sanitation score after placing an order . I would have never order from here if I would have seen the score and violation report. However, I still at the food which was pretty good. I said a heavy prayer lol and hoping that I don't get sick from eating this food. lol

I had the worst experience ever. I requested a to-go order. I informed the waiter that the order was just for me because my son wanted to get his food from Red Lobster. I asked for 3 (individual) shrimp rolls which meant that I would be 3 for free. I also order Chicken Pho. I take full responsibility for not checking the order before I left. When I got home I had a total of 36 (individual) shrimp rolls. The waiter did not take the time to explain that there were 12 shrimp rolls in each order. I was so upset that I threw the food away. When I called, the waiter refused to admit that he did not do a good job of explaining the menu. Obviously, I won't be going there again!Totally Disappointed
