Afton Tavern

I love this place. My very favorite thing is there buffalo chicken wrap. You can get it with double the meat!

The food is always yummy and you must always get a cookie skillet!! I feel like they never put enough cheese on the bacon CHEESE fries and service usually takes so long.

Busy place for a Monday night. You can sit in the restaurant, outside on their patio, or in the bar area. There is a hostess so you have to go inside to be seated. They have a nice menu with plenty of options. Tonight we went with takeout. Their bacon cheese fries are the best (most of the time). They use waffle fries. Add some ranch and it's perfect. The chocolate chip cookie skillet is by far the best. If you are not too full, give it a try. It's amazing.

Afton has been making a comeback. Back in the day Afton was THE spot to eat and see everyone you knew in town. It slipped a bit when the owners were opening other restaurants and the business was left a bit unattended. But we recently have come back and have not been disappointed with the service or the food. Im so happy to see it's back to being in our rotation. I will however, warn anyone with sensory issues, they use some kind of cleaner on their tables that the inside restaurant smells extremely strong of this cleaner. But they do have a large patio seating area which is smell free.

I enjoyed my visit to Afton Tavern. We went during lunch time, had no problem with parking, and we were sat pretty quickly. The restaurant is pretty big. The outdoor patio has lots of seating, fans, and a fireplace. The bar area was a nice size with a few high top tables. The dining room was pretty big as well, with a rather large private area. I also appreciate the mix of booths and traditional tables. The menu has a good variety of dishes. I tried the Balsamic Glazed chicken with Sweet Potato Fries and broccoli. I greatly underestimated how many mushrooms and onions would be included. Nonetheless, I liked the chicken. The fries were my favorite though. Our waitress was fine. Not memorably friendly or anything, but nice and the service was fast. Final note, this is a family friendly restaurant. They have the basic kids menu items.

This place needs an update food was average nothing special. The bloody Mary's had a weird finish to them and not much flavor. The service was attentive and quick but not worth the cost for an average hamburger and basic salad

Great place with a little bit of something for everyone! Great to catch up with friends in the bar area, meet the family out for dinner or to reserve their private event space. Some of my favorites are the chips, burger, black bean burger and all their salads are great! Great options for kids!

Good food and good location. Been eating at Afton since it opened. Parking can be struggle at times so get there early.

The menu says a large portion of ny style cheesecake topped with fresh strawberries. No strawberries, small amount of syrup, regular portion size missing some of the bottom crust.
