After the Panthers game we walked in Latta Arcade and Hidden and found a great option for pizza and sandwiches. The carnival pizza was quite good but the star of the show is the meatball sub. With homemade meatballs, great seasoning, and bread which wasn't too soft or too hard it was the star of the meal. There are many videos of people enjoying the vertical sandwich. I was splitting it so the staff wisely suggested we get the horizontal option. The counter staff is happy to guide you and they'll bring out your food in a matter of minutes. Food comes in pizza boxes and to-go containers but they do have plates and plastic ware. There are 2 tables inside, a window table for 8, and standing room at the counter. This is a great place for a quicker Italian meal and I look forward to returning when I'm in this part of Uptown.

This place share building with bar one lounge and it's across from pf Chang. They share parking with other businesses so it may be hard to find parking if you go during busy time. The ambiance is nice, small place, well kept area. Minimal decorations. The service was good. Waitress was attentive but didn't seem like he wanted to be at work. Wasn't a pleasant interaction. More so like he was there to do his job versus enjoying doing his job. The food was decent. The drink was good. I don't remember which one I got. But the wing was good. The meatball was dry in the inside. Price is a little too high but expected from the area of the place. I'd probably wouldn't come again.

Came here for a quick lunch while uptown working in the office. The weather was bad, so a lot of the other shops in the alley were closed so I was glad to see this shop was open. It was nice and quiet inside. I asked the cashier if she liked the honey badger or sausage pizza better and she recommended the sausage so I went with that! It was sooo good!! Not many options you can eat at in uptown for under $15 but I think this was around $12 AND super filling! They do have lots of drink options but I didn't grab one this time around. They make everything fresh while there, and I appreciated being able to see the process of it being made! I got a side of hot honey on the side and that was the cherry on top!!

I have tried 800 Degrees twice and have had horrible service on both occasions. Had to ask a bar back to ask a bartender if I could order a drink. Had to again ask for my bill. My glass had been empty for quite sometime. Was never asked if I wanted another. I could go on, but you get the drift. Left and went to the Palm. Much better experience.

Went here right after a panthers game after sightseeing the beautiful uptown area. Came across this hideaway . The pizza was made fresh to order and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Pizza was delicious and had just the right amount of toppings and sauce . I will definitely be back . It is a bit on the pricey side but I mean it's uptown lol

Best pizza in Uptown hands down! The honey badger is my favorite and I get it whenever I'm in town. It has such a cooler vibe compared to their South Park location, everyone that works there is always personable and friendly. I love all of the other shops immediately around it. The perfect spot for lunch!

Yeah not that great... had the infamous vertical meatball sub and literally after the first bite it was so bready with no sauce and just meatballs. Waste of money. Maybe better off trying it horizontal style since they can see the amount of sauce. Paid $18 (with the tip) and left feeling unsatisfied.

The Latta Arcade has been undergoing a transformation of sorts with some face lifting inside and some new tenants opening up with more on the way. Probably the most drastic change was the arrival of 800 degrees, which also has a much larger location in South Park. Unlike most stalls inside 800 degrees offers some seating both inside the restaurant and along the bar outside as well. It is counter service where you pay at the restaurant and since seating is limited a lot of people take their food to go. My experience so far has been mixed as I enjoyed the pizza I got here, but a sandwich I ordered I did not enjoy as much. I got an Italian sandwich and I think it would have been a lot better if the bread had been toasted giving it a nice crunch, instead the sandwich I got was soggy and sloppy. I would not order again as it was. For the pizza I got their version of a meat lovers pizza which I thoroughly enjoyed. They certainly didn't skimp on the meats which I always appreciate. I will certainly keep this place on my radar as I enjoy getting a personal pizza pie for lunch every now and then instead of by the slice.

Following in line with what yelp is asking me, skip to paragraph two for food info. The pizza was very good. I got a Carni 8" pizza. I liked the design of the place with both indoor and "outdoor" seating (the whole place is inside of another big building, so not subject to the elements). The person at the register was very nice as well.I don't know how much I'm supposed to write here or how descriptive, but I attached a picture. Sauce was good (a good tang to it without being overwhelmingly tangy), meat was good (and a good amount of it), cheese was good (it was dollops of cheese, like one of those fancy pizzas). Thus, the pizza was good. I did pick off some leaf things that were on it. There's probably a name for it which I do not know. I will guess basil, because it is green and a plant. At the time of writing (the 12th day of August, in the year of His Lord 2024) it was ~$20 with a 20% tip. That's about the same as anywhere else I get lunch in Charlotte, so not complaining. Plus it was good, so I guess it's worth it.If you are still reading this, have a wonderful day.
