Simply awesome that Locust has a good soul food restaurant. I had the oxtail over rice with collard greens and lima beans and cornbread. It was all delicious. There was a sewage smell coming from the back but their sanitation score is 100 so I ate without fear. We definitely will be back.

We went on a Sunday evening and it was quiet. We ordered quickly and the food came out piping hot, well seasoned, and portioned just right. This place deserves more visitors because it is truly southern soul food at its finest!

Outstanding soul food, and a delicious sweet tea is included with the purchase of a meal. Since the business just opened, paper menus are available in the dining area before you place an order (see pics). I had the fried chicken, rice and gravy and green beans. A roll or cornbread also comes with a meal, and the cornbread was delightfully moist and sweet. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be back when we come to the area again since everything was so good.

This quaint little place in Locust North Carolina just opened and has some OUTSTANDING soul food. We ordered 2 meals: a vegetable plate and a 2 piece dark meat meal. The prices were reasonable and so were the portion sizes. We didn't try any dessert this time BUT we'll DEFINITELY be back and SOON!They're open Thursday-Sunday 12p-8p check them out if you're in the area!

This is my second time eating at this establishment and out of my 12 years of living in the Charlotte area and searching for good soul food, I am proud to say that this place got it right! The meatloaf was great and the Yams and macaroni and cheese were perfect. Great portion sizes, I always have enough in my tray fot a seond helping. The staff are friendly and it's a nice clean establishment, Very please to have this business so close to home , will absolutely be back again

I just finished my first lunch experiences here at the new restaurant and the atmosphere was family oriented. The service was wonderful and filled with friendly and smiling faces to greet myself and my wife . And the food was awesome, I ordered a Stewed Turkey Wing Dinner , Macaroni & Cheese Rice & Gravy , String-beans with a Sweet Tea . We certainly plan on being repeat customers at this restaurant. Went here last night on a date (2.23.25) & I got the whiting, Mac, & yellow rice ; my date got wings and fries. The whiting was crispy , and the Mac and rice tasted like my grandma was back there herself. We met the owner (Ms Tasha) and she is a wonderful visionary with a real talent for not only providing great service, but also making a great home cooked meal. Anytime I'm in town in will be stopping by. (There is a new location coming in Albemarle VERY soon !)

First things first this place was sparkling clean. The food was amazingly good. We both opted for the Turkey wings with cabbage , Mac and cheese, and black eyed peas. Very flavorful. Loved the mac and cheese it had a faint sweetness to it but blended surprisingly well with sharp cheddar cheese blend. By far the best soul food in Stanley Country. If you love good food, drive on out it is worth every minute.. Lots of options. They offer dine in also. Let's support there business..Good food is hard to find out here. Now we don't have to drive to the city real soul food.

Best mac &cheese I've ever had! 100 sanitation grade. $15 for a meat and 2 sides what's not like.

Absolutely great food! Baked chicken outstanding! Mac & Cheese fabulous! If I could give 10 stars I would! Must try it.!
