thought this was primarily a wine bar catering to the toitier crowd but one mild summer's evening found me near about opening time so I walked over to find a listening room and an unstaffed wine service, nosed around a little more and found a full-service service bar a bit further back with more and comfortabler seating options.charming bar keep suggested a raspberry lemon drop to send off summer even though the forecast called for continued warmer weather and it seemed reasonable at the time. been going on about a month now and just letting up with the time change so trying it again...

This place is AWESOME! Meredith is amazing! There is no better place in Mooresville to have a glass of wine or a top shelf cocktail! The atmosphere is old Mooresville with a vintage flare! Spend some time talking to Meredith with her incredibly bubbly personality and you will never want to leave. This place is a true diamond in the rough.

202 has a great wine and craft beer selection and I just now they are serving cocktails and some really great Bourbons! The General manager Mark made sure we were comfortable and his staff made sure our drinks were never empty. I've seen a couple live bands there on Friday nights, and the room is set up perfectly for acoustics no matter what size band is playing there. This place is a must visit if you are in the Mooresville area! Great cozy place to have some drinks!

Thursday night wine tastings are absolutely the best! Each week a different distributer brings a selection of 6 different wines to sample and provides a background on the vineyard and wine, always informative and a fun time. After going a few times you recognize some familiar faces and it feels like our own "Cheers" in Mooresville. Especially wonderful for us since we recently moved to the area. Local musicians play on Friday and Saturday nights, great music in an intimate setting!

Great little wine bar (there is Speakeasy liquor upstairs) with good local music every Friday & Saturday throughout the summer. Really nice ambiance and good walk-up service wine offerings.

I had planned a wine tasting for a group of women at this wine shop. On their website it only mentions that there are wine tastings on Thursdays. There is no info in regards to cost or if hors d'oevures or food are available. In fact the website barely tells you much and is confusing as far as the food. There are two phone numbers. The store manager and owner. I didn't know which to call and thought let's go to the owner. He was very unfriendly on the phone, would not give any answers and told to call the store. Not a great start. Spoke to store manager who at least was more accommodating and friendly. One woman and I visited it ahead of time to check it out and see how the place was set up. Mainly there are high tables and chairs. An L shape bar type area for customers with stools. In the back are leather couches. We sampled some wine and bought a glass of Chardonnay at 10.00!. A little above my budget for a glass. Ok we set up a date for this venue We were seated at the L shape bar area.in the front of the store, We paid our 10.00 for the tasting and went to the back for the hors d'oeuvres. Let me say it was nice they were serving some food but it was mainly small pinwheels, some small pastry stuffed something, a cheese bruschetta which were slightly burnt , some cream cheese and jelly to put on a cracker and some chocolate tidbits. It was very hard to hear the gentleman describing the wines. He stood in the middle and we were by the front of the store. I had to ask him to repeat some of things he said. About halfway through the owner comes over to us and asks if we can lower our voices.I know for a fact we were keeping our voices low as we know proper etiquette. I was dumbfounded as I know we were not loud. I am a fair and reasonable person. He said some others were complaining and he could hear us across this very long, room. You could hear us?. I could not believe the rudeness of this man to single us out. We are all professional women, not some drunken 25 yr olds/ We only had had 3 or 4 samplings of wine. And are not new to wine. So I watched and listened to the room when the wine guy spoke again. There was hardly a table that was Not talking including the table of 2 girls closest to us. It is sad t single out a group unjustly. You announce to the room as a whole. if you feel there is reason, to please keep voices down If we were being really rambunctious, and obnoxious I could see someone coming over. I should have said something to this arrogant man right then and there. I don't care if you are the owner, We are your customers.Well sir, you will notice no one in our group bought one single bottle of your wine . Too bad as the ones we sampled were very good and some of us had planned to buy . Too bad, so sad you don't know how to treat customers.I have heard from others that have done this before. This isnt graduate school , it is suppose to be a fun evening out.
