200 North Family Restaurant

200 North is everything a family dining restaurant should be and more. Our family of 3 stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night. Our service was fantastic. I wish I would have written down the young man's name. He was so mannerly and attentive. We ordered a club with fries and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. Our 6 year old typically shares with one of us. Sometimes he only eats fries. My husband's club was great and so was my bacon cheeseburger. I prefer hand cut fries, so I was not a fan of the crinkle cuts. They were just not a great quality either, but our son liked them. We will be back or order takeout soon.

This is a family restaurant and is a good "go to" if you want veggies and a meat that is good. There is a large selection for whatever you are hungry for. I am a repeat customer! I love that they make their own ranch dressing- it is so much better than bottled! Fried Chicken, Chicken Parmesan and Fish are all good.

Would have loved to give this place a better rating but sadly am not able to. I ordered the homemade chicken and dumplings with a side of mashed potatoes and macaroni. The chicken and dumplings was very good and very authentic but came out lukewarm, as if it had been sitting in a big pot all day long. The mashed potatoes had absolutely no flavor but the brown gravy did give it the life it desperately needed. The macaroni and cheese looked like it was going to be delicious but was honestly just extremely mushy. (My three year old wouldn't touch it and that's saying a lot.) Everyone was very friendly and our waitress was just the sweetest. I think I'll give it one more try, hopefully it'll be a better experience.

Passing through Locust on our way home today, found 200 North, it did not disappoint! Steak was twice as big as my bun, on the steak sandwich, cooked perfectly.Wife's 200 Cheeseburger burger, on point. Staff cordial and attentive, we will return. Definitely a

A great family owned restaurant with some good 'ol down home cookin'. The fried chicken livers, okra, and squash are better than any I've eaten, except those cooked by my Grandma of course. The server was very good and friendly. The desserts tasted great and served for two to enjoy. I especially liked the fried cheesecake.

Sometimes the little family owned restaurants are way better than the big chains. This restaurant was nothing fancy on the outside or inside but the food was great! I had the fried flounder, cole slaw and broccoli and it was great! I wish I took a picture, sorry, but it was one very good - the broccoli was the first to go. It was cooked to perfection and had the right amount of seasoning on it. I highly recommend the slaw too, definitely on my top five best. I felt like I was eating with one big happy family band the owner who was at the register was very talkative and friendly. I'd take an hour ride just to have lunch here again for a nice day trip.

Great fresh food and very polite service. My wife and I eat there every week at least.

My husband and I were looking forward to a wonderful dinner, He has been wanting to try 200 N. for a few months so we went tonight a Friday might with the prime ribs special. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it was delivered well done I eat the food that is brought to my table, but my husband convinced me to send it back because it was not what we had ordered the waitress returned, sayingThey hadhad no more prime rib to make it medium rare so they offered me a ribeye and I said that would be fine. Thank you very much. I'd like that medium rare I can tell you that rare is rare and it was moving when it came to the table The waitress obviously knew it was done on purpose because she completely ignored us for the rest of the evening except to drop off the check

Wonderful home style. Chicken parmigiana is fantastic. Great local place. Highly recommend. Fish dinners very large. Good amount of sides.Call in or dine in. Friendly service. Thanks
