Charlie's Restaurant

We had the sweetest server late on a Saturday afternoon. It was like Grandma's industrial chic house. With things like homemade pot roast, chicken fried steak, and chicken wings on the menu, the vibe definitely matched.The food was yummy and the service even better.

Welcome to a downtown Puyallup's neighborhood restaurant known for quality takes on traditional American menu. Great location just off Meridian Ave and Main Street. Greeted as soon as we entered and seated quickly. Service was friendly and attentive. Dining area clean and recently updated. Nicely decorated and quality throughout the entire building as far as I could see. You can count on all the attention to detail comes through their food just as much as their efficiency in managing the dining area on a busy Sunday morning during Meeker Days. The portions will challenge even the heartiest of appetites like my own but I wouldn't be denied aside from a few home fries. The biscuits are fresh baked from scratch as was nearly everything else on the menu. We are looking forward to coming back to explore more of their menu and fresh seasonal offerings.

Small diner style place. I've only been here for their breakfast menu, but never disappointed. They have no trouble at all customizing your order to your liking I.e ... no tomato extra jalapeños:) Their coffee is very good brew and hardly ever empty till you're ready to tell me "done". Staff there is very friendly. Highly recommend this place for great breakfast and hot joe. Wheelchair accessible although front door could use some adjustments to lighten. Bathrooms are clean and accessible.

Family restaurant and full service bar in an area of town near a bunch of shops. I had the salmon basil pesto with mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was good, although I really enjoyed the sauce it. I appreciated that the salmon was not covered in the sauce, the sauce was on the bottom. You can decide how much you want. The potatoes were good, and I prefer my green beans cooked softer but they were acceptable. They are in the process of changing over the dessert menu for the summer so I had to skip the sweets. The server was very apologetic about that!

My cousin and I were in Puyallup for my father's memorial. We decided to look for a nice place to eat. We went to Charlie's because my father's name is Chuck and he went by Charlie to family members. We had the most amazing friendly server"Zoe" who treated us like she knew us forever. She had the friendliest smile and was very very attentive! I ordered Salmon dinner and she ordered the halibut plate. Everything was fresh and very yummy! We enjoyed ourselves so much we took my step-mom toLunch on Sunday. Again we had an amazing meal but I neglected to take photos. We requested to sit in Zoe's section. Once again she was very attentive and friendly. She treated us like family this time. Our lunch was amazing, o ordered the turkey club, my cousin the chicken taco salad and my step-Mom had the pulled pork sandwich. I highly recommend this establishment and if you are in Puyallup I suggest going and you will have a great meal and a very friendly staff.

All the food was good but the street corn... was cold. Possibly previously frozen, which I don't mind if it was heated throughly. Zucchini sticks were crispy, salad was crunchy and tasty. I also really enjoyed the soup of the day, cheeseburger soup. It was hearty, comfort on a cold night. Overall the service and meal was good.

Family restaurant style. Nice comfy spacious booth/ tables - great place for kids (we took our 3 & 6 years old).Free parking on the side of the restaurant designated for this restaurant.Food was yummy. They are very generous with the butter LOL... in a good way. The buns and toast, eggs had a nice amount of butter. The server we had might be new so she didn't know for example to bring a extra plate for our kid but she was trying her best. The more experienced server were very warm and friendly.

My girlfriend and I met at Charlie's for breakfast before a day of shopping together.Free parking can be found on the street or in the public parking lot.Charlie's offers family dining and a lounge. We opted for the lounge.A full bar and pull tabs can be found in the lounge, as well as a TV.Happy Hour is offered Monday-Friday from 2pm-6pm.Breakfast is served daily from 8:00am-1:00pm.While looking over the menu, I sipped on a Bloody Mary for $8.50. My girlfriend slurped on a Mac & Jack for $5.75.I chose the Charlie's Benedict for $16.49: two poached eggs, fresh spinach, avocado, and tomato on English muffins topped with hollandaise sauce. Served with breakfast potatoes. My meal was stacked with fresh veggies and was absolutely delicious.My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs for $18.49. She's allergic to eggs and requested her meal without them. She stated she enjoyed her meal as well. Charlie's did not reduced the price of her meal or offer a complimentary substitution such as fruit for the eggs. You can do better Charlie's.Our server was friendly and efficient.Overall, Charlie's is an easy breakfast choice serving fair priced meals.

Had the Fish and Chips 3 weeks ago and there is too much breading and the fish was old and tough, coleslaw was not very good also, fries were cooked as asked for crispy and good, also had a ceaser salad and it was good.I would not order the Fish and chips!

Went to Charlie's for Mothers' Day Brunch. The food selection was nice. The greeter seated us right away.They were a bit busy, but the server did an okay job of checking on the guests to be certain that everyone was content.
