Ordered sweet and sour chicken and it was good. Got a small side of fried rice which was just ok. Probably wouldn't get it again though. Too bland for my taste buds. They definitely upsell on the combos they have so be prepared for that. It was only a couple dollars more to get a bigger entree so I was good with that. I

6/5/24 - I've tried this location years ago and forgot they survived Covid. It was dead inside around 6pm, I ordered to go a large sweet and sour pork (it was average), a large BBQ pork fried rice (very good and big chunks of pork), regular salt and pepper tofu (very good), and a large eggplant with shrimp (the best of all the dishes) and it came with white rice. The diff between regular and large is only $2 and it's twice as big portion wise to order the large. It took about 15 minutes. I will go here again and try other dishes. They deliver for free within 2 miles if you live that close to parking sucks though. Took photos of the to go items in the box.

So happy to have found this place. I've been back several times. My favorite so far is the wonton soup. My family has been happy with there choice of entrees

Best Chinese food in East county. We tried a few dishes and all of them had great flavor and fresh ingredients. Love that Delivery is available from them directly. The service was fast!

Firstly the old ladies that work here are hilarious. Their liveliness brings something to the customer experience and if I lived closer, I'd be supporting this small business much more often. The food is descent, at parity with what's in the area. IMO nothing in San Carlos / La Mesa / Santee / El Cajon can compare to what's on Convoy. I will say that CW is comparable to Panda Country. To me the measure of a good Chinese place is it's Mongolian beef / beef quality in general. The Mongolian beef here is pretty average. The meat is a bit chewy, could be cut thinner and fried more. The orange chicken is also pretty average. It's not at all overly sugary, you can still taste the chicken. It could have been fried a bit more. The big winners here are the fried rice, veggie + tofu, and walnut shrimp. A nice advantage that CW has over it's competition is that nothing is too salty or doused in sauce. Its like 5x lighter than Panda Express while still maintaining good flavor. I do wish that their proteins were a bit better, but CW is a pretty good spot.

This place advertises lunch specials from 11-3, but the last time I was here, they told me they were no good and to order something better from their regular menu. This time, I tried to pay with a DiscoverCard and was asked if I had cash. I asked if they did not accept credit cards and was told that they did but not Discover, so I paid with a Visa instead and kept my cash for places that don't accept cards or that charge a fee for using them. The people here also often try to up-sell and add-on to anything ordered. The Buddha's Delight is a pretty good choice; the Pad Thai, not so much. I should have went to a Thai restaurant for that.... I have yet to try any of their beverages - but suspect that some might be "better" than the food on the menu.

How ya doin' !!!. I love to eat and probably my favorite is Chinese food. So on a trip to Santee to visit a good friend, we decided on Chinese and she suggested this place. It was delivered so I have seen the actual place but my friend said no tables and chairs so strictly delivery.I had shrimp lo mein and it came with broccoli, bean sprouts, green and white chopped onions My friend had crispy fried noodles ( and they really were. ) that were nice and crunchy. It came with shrimp, soft noodles and carrots. I'd show a picture but we devoured it kinda fast. . They arrived sooner that expected and it was great !! The yummy aroma took over the kitchen and it was a race for forks. Price was reasonable less than $16.00 and comparing cost to quality and quantity, we got the best of deal. Next time I'm in Santee and craving Chinese food, I'm calling this place. Good job folks. Tony Valenzuela 760-497-1217

Every time we have come here we have had very friendly service, and the food is always great. The noodles have that delicious sort of smokey flavor they're supposed to, and the salt and pepper tofu is always very crispy. (I sneak some on the way home while it's at its peak crispiness.)They'll make any of the chicken dishes with tofu instead, which is great for our vegetarian family-- and once they see we're ordering veggie items they make sure we're aware of all the options including this tofu substitution.

This is our usual place for Chinese delivery, but my wife and I were out and felt like some chow mein so I went in and ordered. One order of chicken chow mein and a small iced tea was somehow over $21. It didn't dawn on me until I had left that the price seemed way more than usual. I checked their online menu and chow mein is listed at $11. The price on the drink was $3 and some change. How it ended up being over $20 is beyond me. Not cool if they are fudging with the prices. Food has always been good though. Just not happy with being played with
