Came through for Persian New Year. Was so thrilled they were open. I have to give a shout out to the lady managing our reservation, she was so nice & accommodating after all the back & forth with cancellations in our group, last minute additions to our group, special orders, etc.! She's a rockstar. We ordered koobideh, pomegranate kabab, fish (special order for the new year), olive/pomegranate dip, maste mussir. Legit, everything was great. We had a friend who was vegan, and they had a lentil stew available too. We also had a birthday, and they were able to get a slice of cake to celebrate and played Persian party music as they served the cake. It was a light pistachio mousse cake -- so good! +They serve wine/alcohol. Overall, this is probably my new favorite Persian restaurant in the Boston area since Sabzi closed. Atmosphere is cozy and homey. Decent for groups. Space is limited, I would recommended calling in for a reservation.

Love this family owned business with personable service. Visit for delicious, authentic Persian cuisine. I recommend the kabob koobideh. Absolutely delicious and generous portions for a good price.

Heard about this place from a friend, and I'm so so happy I gave it a try. My wife and I shared a few different dishes - each was fantastic. Kebabs were perfectly cooked, well-seasoned and the marinade was *next level* - particularly the pomegranate chicken. Rice was fluffy and light. The stew was homey comfort food. But I think my favorite was the olive dip appetizer. I was genuinely impressed with the depth of flavor. Honestly, I'll be thinking about that dish for a long time. The bread was made in house too and was very tasty. As well - the service was friendly, warm and inviting. It helped to elevate the overall experience. We're really looking forward to trying the rest of the menu. Honestly, one of the best restaurants I've had all year.

A welcome change of pace, this small, lovely room serves up middle eastern fare. (I posted the menu.) I popped in yesterday, thinking their Persian noodle soup would be just the thing for a cold, rainy day. It was thickened by the various beans and lentils. The fried onion and mint gave it a taste you won't find in a bowl of Revere pasta fagioli! All the plates coming out of the kitchen - grilled meats, salads and more - looked wonderful. Middle eastern flavors are splashed all over the menu. Give them a try!

Lovely place, owner was very accommodating to our party. We enjoyed the food. However, portions are very small which you wouldn't realize from the menu price. The amount of food was perfectly fine for us, as we didn't want to take leftovers. But don't expect a lot on your plate based on the cost. I had sour cherry rice for the first time, was very interesting but a little too sweet for dinner. The chicken was super tender and I especially liked it with the garlic eggplant yogurt. Wish they had dessert here too!

We had a dinner Last Saturday at this so-called Chai Bar Restaurant. Me and my friend are from Rhode Island, and we were in the area, so we decided to have dinner in a so-called "Persian Restaurant" called Chai Bar. First of all, we had to spend 30 minutes to find a parking spot relatively close to the place. After we ordered our food, we had to wait for 45 minutes to be serve, in spite of, they had just 2 other customers, one table with two and another table with 3 people waiting, and we were just two at our table. The food they served was cold after waiting for 45 minutes. The food quality was terrible. We had ordered Keqbab (Minced and Fillet or Koobideh and Sultani). In spite of we asked for the well done kebab, the meats were Raw and tested tribble. I asked for a Rap Kabab for takeout for my husband. He ate the first bite and he though up and had diarrhea through the next day. The foods quality is so bad but the prices are much higher than well-established Persian Restaurants in Boston and Rhode Island with small portions of foods that are much less than other Persian Restaurants. I have never had such a bad food experience in my life. My husband and my friend had the similar experiences. Please, think twice before going to this restaurant called "Chai Bar" in Rever, MA.
