Ceviches & Beers

First time at the restaurant!! No words to describe it! Food is amazing, the staff is great and Friendly! Tried the cóctel de camarón and the ceviche along with some fish tacos! Not a big fan of fish tacos, but these are amazing! The place is great, music, TV's around for entertainment. Would definitely recommend this place.

I'm convinced this place changed ownership based on the good reviews that are on here. The service was so bad. I think they only had one guy working so maybe they are short staffed but we definitely waited almost 45 minutes to an hour for our food. This felt like a hostage situation! Lol! SOS! The guy never checked in with us and we had to constantly get up to request utensil/drinks.The food was OKAY. The sizes are huge (that's the only reason they get 2 stars) but quality is better than quantity. I did not even finish my taco. There was no seasoning on anything. Lime and salsa would have made this better. We poured spicy mayo sauce all over it. I'm not sure if it's normally better than it is today? But with all of the food Mexican food in San Diego I definitely would not come back. The pictures look better than the food actually is. You've been warned. We have been better off going to Taco Bell... That actually might be insulting to Taco Bell.

If it's January first and you gotta make it home before Christmas don't go here because you will be waiting until the following new year .Zero sense of urgency. Absolutely pick another spot in SD!

Extremely slow service and ceviche is kind of different from the ones I am used to but loved the ceviche special super shareable for 2 people. I am glad they did not have the octopus taco I was craving because this absolutely hit the spot. First time there and super mellow (maybe too mellow, the kitchen probably is under staffed) but my guy and I were able to spend some nice time talking to the people seating at the next tables. Everyone was so friendly! This is the spirit of San Diego that I love so much and it was concentrated there over ceviche and beers! Plus the view to the surf board and the amusement park is so cool too. I like eating at that patio, and it felt like I was at someone's house. Cute decorated bathroom with Mexican loteria decor (they charge $2 for people that are not consuming at the restaurant to use it).

While the concept of ordering via QR code is modern and usually efficient, my experience at this establishment was unexpectedly prolonged. Despite the restaurant being empty, it took nearly an hour to receive both drinks and food. This delay could be indicative of severe understaffing, which I hope management will address promptly.On a positive note, when the food did arrive, it was quite enjoyable. The burrito and fish and chips were well-prepared and flavorful. However, the excessive wait time significantly overshadowed the quality of the meal. A quicker service would have greatly enhanced the dining experience.

we live 800 feet from this place. it is never open. NEVER! July 4 and it's closing at 6pm. the most odd and random hours. no consistency. i hear the portions are as equally bland as they are large. we stopped in for a menu and the sole overworked (and guessing underpaid) foreign-exchange student/employee said we could scan a QR code for a menu. I wish the owner would consider hiring a better manager or selling it to even a freshman business major as SDSU. This place has more unrealized potential than my Nintendo-addicted-16-year-old.

NOPE. I don't like to write bad reviews but I feel like I have to save people from wasting their time here. The drinks are SO BAD! I got a watermelon margarita and my friend got a Paloma and they were undrinkable. I feel bad because there's one server and therefore slow service and she also can't pick the drink mixes. But yes, we ended up leaving before ordering food. The salsa was the last straw. It was so watery, more like soup!

Lots of seafood choices. I ordered take out. The lady at the front was friendly. I loved ahi tuna. Lots of flavor. Octopus taco has lots of small pieces octopus, peppers and onions. It was good but I want it salsa with it. Since I did take out I didn't ask any salsa. Nothing came with it, so I will ask next time.,I definitely come back and try some more!

My party of 2 visited 08/31/24 at around 230. Honestly should have listened to recent reviews. Mango habanero ceviche was below average but not disgusting. Not pleasurable for sure. Breaded fish tacos were atrocious. Soggy and fish was mush. Server was extremely below average, did not check on us once after food was delivered. Had to get up to ask him to pay and for boxes. Also had 0 recommendations, no enthusiasm, yikes. Not to mention those two items only took 35-40 minutes. Overall, avoid. There are so many better places around. Will never return.

This used to be a place my husband and I frequented when we came to San Diego because their ceviche was great but it seems like it's gone downhill since the last time we came. We tried to get some food before leaving for the airport. Their hours say 11 am and we waited outside until 12 pm, watching workers set up the restaurant and then watched them inside eating and watching TV, and still not open the restaurant. Disappointing because this used to be a great place.
