Oh em gee!! I LOVE this place! This is my supervisors favorite restaurant and now it might be my favorite Italian restaurant!Came right at opening 4pm :) parking was a bit to look for but not too bad at this hour. There's a lot in front but it's green so 15 min parking until 6pm.We requested outdoor as we brought our two fur babies. There's two outdoor sections, on in the front and in the back/side. They seated us in the back which I liked a lot. There was a nice purse hook and they brought our babies a big water bowl. They poured the regular water out of the cutest chicken pitcher where the water came through its beak! The water was ok, we ordered additional sparkling water. They also provided complimentary bread with a tomato dipping sauce. One bread seemed soft with some tomato sauce coating of some sort and the other was also soft but more dense. Both freshly made and warm. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and langostine pasta-I cannot recall the name but it's a very popular item and it was delicious! (When I went inside to use the restroom I could see many other tables ordered this as well). The shrimp in the sauce was so good and I'm not a shrimp in pasta type of person. The pasta was cooked almost al dente but just a bit softer and was the perfect consistency and type! We both really enjoyed this. My pasta was the build your own. I selected to try the malfade pasta which was amazing! Again the texture of almost all dente and chewyness! I forgot the sauce I got but it had some pork in it and it not spicy but omg was also delicious! I reallly loved this pasta and I don't usually get wowed by pasta! Since I'm pregnant and nearly due, unfortunately I could only stomach a small portion of it but so happy i have leftovers to chow down on. The flavor of the sauce is just perfect and these pastas are made fresh in house! Considering we sat outside, I was expecting it to be hot but they had plenty of fans above that kept us at a good temperature. Our waitress even brought me a cute pink hand fan to keep cool! And service here-10/10! The host were smiling and happy. All the workers who assisted us (as it seemed to be a team effort) were so nice! It's nice to see teamwork. We had our waitress, but someone else came by to offer us the fresh grated Parmesan, and someone else was circling by to make sure we didn't need anything else. It was just very collaborative. I'm really glad I came when it wasn't rush out so it was very peaceful and being surrounded by all the greenery too.I will definitely be back to try a few other dishes! Oh, also we were treated to a complimentary ice cream dessert for our belated anniversary which was very thoughtful. We were so full at this point. The little cookie it came with was very good. Keep up the good teamwork! Hats off to the chefs-we were both very impressed and happy today. And thanks for making our fur babies feel at home!

Came here for a date night on a Saturday night. Was super crowded so highly recommend making a reservation. They start you off with bread which was delicious, and the waitress was so kind in continually asking if we wanted more! I had to say no after seconds to save room for pasta but definitely appreciate the offer. We got the Cesarina fennel salad, and paccheri and lumache with arrabbiatissima with a side of meatballs. Salad was great, could have used either a squeeze of lemon or dash of honey but enjoyed the raisins. The pastas were also good, paccheri was a shape I've never seen and the lumache had a great bite to it. The outdoor patio is super nice during the summer months, so would encourage requesting a table out there if weather permits!

Was ensured by a friend that this spot had some of the best Italian food in San Diego and happy to report they were right. We came for a delicious meal here and left feeling fully and happy with food leftover. I'll start with the food. Focaccia with a red sauce was served to start. We were happy because the restaurant served bread, but we weren't wowed by it. It was rather dry for focaccia and cold, but the dipping sauce was delicious. We shared the mafalde and gnocchi specials on the menu. Both created with homemade pasta and you could tell. The flavors in these pastas were incredibly rich and decadent, and I would go back for these pastas. They lose a star to me due to service. We had a reservation, but when we arrived we had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table. We also found the server quite cold and almost felt like we had to rush to order, since we can tell this place is very busy with a lot of people wanting to dine here.

WOW WOW WOWCesarina is now my go to restaurant for authentic traditional Italian food! Beautiful restaurant surrounded by plants. Service was spectacular! Someone came by often to check on us and our water glasses were always filled up. The house bread was soft and warm, grilled octopus was crispy and delicious, and the pasta was just off the chainnn amazing! You can tell the pasta is fresh and made with good, quality ingredients. There was so much flavor in everything we tried. We ended our meal with a tiramisu dessert. It is definitely a must try. You will not be disappointed!! I was impressed from beginning to end. I will be back again and again haha

This place is so cute! They have outdoor and indoor dining spaces, with colorful decor, eclectic set of dinnerware and decor, and lots of plants that make it feel very zen. They make all their own pasta and it is quite good, and heavy portions! I love when pasta is aldente, and so many shapes to choose from! You can either build your own pasta or choose an already made creation. I thought $30-40 for 1 dish was pretty hefty but the portions are pretty big!

This is hands down one of the best places I've eaten at all year.I dinner-ed on a Sunday and it was clearly the place to be seen. People were on date dates, girl dates, and people dates. The patio is gorgina. It's lush and intimate - perfect for any occasion. We started with the polpo croccante ($22). This is a honey glazed octopus, romesco sauce, "Patate Cacio e Pepe," crispy broccolini, capers, roasted cherry tomatoes, red onions, almonds. I don't even like octopus all that much but this one was perfect. It had a nice crisp exterior that was ever so slightly sweet from the honey. The meat was also so tender. The real star of the evening was our pasta. This was insanely good.At Cesrina, you can choose your own adventure: choose your pasta shape + sauce. To be honest, this is not my preferred method of choosing a pasta. I'd much rather choose an already tried and true combination, however, when at Cesarina- we too made our own. The paccheri + arrabbiatissima ($29) was perfection. The pasta was perfectly al dente and was the most perfect vehicle to soak up the fresh tomato sauce, Calabrian peperoncino, Nduja, burrata + parsley. My mouth is salivating as I'm writing this. I am absolutely certain that any combination would be outstanding. What I liked best about Cesarina is how familiar, yet new everything tasted. It was such a fun dining experience. If you find yourself in Point Loma, I highly recommend booking a resy at Cesarina.

Here's another hidden gem in Ocean Beach/Point Loma Hgts! Looking for a classy restaurant near sea world. The Cesarina Restaurant had great reviews. Now I can validate that they were great. Parking here is scarce. There is a pay lot across the street. They also have valet starting at 4.30pm. We found a spot up the street about three blocks up. Nice and busy area and ok to walk in.We had Thomas as our waiter. Good guy, very informative. And that goes for all the staff, they are very polite and attentive. This is an upscale hip chic dining experience. We started off with a glass of sangiovese and barbera. They brought out the complimentary bread and marinara sauce. Delicious! The cool water pitchers were too cool. They were roosters that poured through the beak. Can't get enough of bolongnes. So we had the feticuni and bolongnes. So good! Everything here was on point. We were going to try the terimusi which is made at your table. But we had no room left. Definitely recommend Cesarina for the lovers of true Italian food. They also make thier own pasta. You can watch them make and cut the various varieties through the glass.

We stopped in here before heading to the airport in San Diego & fell in love with all of their delicious Italian food! The restaurant was decorated in sort of a traditional Italian restaurant & the staff was very friendly. We devoured our complimentary home made focaccia, as it was so fresh & flavorful! We also started with a dish that believe was baked zucchini in a tomato sauce, sprinkled with fresh Parmesan cheese. I ordered the vegan caprese salad, which overall had good flavor but wasn't my favorite vegan cheese. & my husband tried the Funghi Gnocchi, with came with creamy fresh cremini, shiitake & porcini mushrooms, parmigiano, crispy parmigiano crumble, & parsley. Such a filling & delicious meal!

Cesarina has to be one of my favorite Italian spots in San Diego. I've came here a few times now and both times the food was amazing! I highly recommend getting the lasagna & porcini mushroom pasta with truffles. As for the cocktails I would also give that a 10/10, same with the ambiance, very unique decor with a rustic feel (perfect for date night). My only criticism about Cesarina is staff coverage, we waited way too long to order and our server barely checked up on us. To be fair our waitress had 6 other tables and a big party in the patio, having more servers would have made our dining experience a lot better. Will I go back? Yes!

Just 10/10. Food was spectacular, the service was great, the ambiance was cozy and cute, perfect for a date. I ordered their cannoli but turns out they were out of it so they let me choose a dessert on the house. Wonderful experience!
