Central Bar + Restaurant

The Central Bar + Restaurant is another great option in Lincoln Square. Although named a bar, most of the seating is traditional tables. It is upscale, but comfortableThe service was very good and friendly. They have a good wine menu, I had a good red and my partner had a Rose. The mixed drink menu looked great also.To start we had the hummus plate. This looked beautiful and was unique. It was about half hummus and have tzatziki sauce, with tomatoes and cucumber slices. The hummus was excellent. The surprise was the pita bread--it was lightly fried and really tasty.For the main course, I had the steak sandwich (which is really similar to the Philly Cheesesteak). This was absolutely delicious. The toasted rosemary bread was perfect, then the steak and onions tasted wonderful. It came with a generous side of steak fries.We will definitely be back.

for started I got myself the steak bites which was a perfect between of medium rare but still very chewy and soft. The Kung Po sauce they used for this was delicious on a whole different level. It wasn't something too spicy but still had a tiny kick to it.the korean fried cauliflower, now this one was mouthwatering. The outside had a caramelized syrupy sauce that they used while frying. The taste is most definitely on a more tangy flavor which made it all the better mixing it with the dipping sauce. this one was a bit more on the savory side with a pop of spice. the server that I had was an absolute sweetheart, it was a friday night so they were a bit busy but still made sure I had everything I needed. all was amazing. this is definitely somewhere i'd come again for either a date night or wanting to catch up with friends. they have a wide selection of cocktails and the setting was such a mood I personally loved it.

Was really looking forward to coming here. We got seated promptly, but waited 20 minutes with no one acknowledging us at the table with many people passing by our table. After being tired of waiting, we decided to go to the bar and place our order.The drinks were good, on the stronger side, not very sweet. The food was fine. If the service was better, it would have been a much better experience. Not sure if they were understaffed. It seemed like a very average Monday, not too busy. Bartenders were great though.

This restaurant is on the first floor of the W hotel. You can park at Lincoln Square and the restaurant is only a few minutes walk away (only briefly an outdoors). My friend and I went for drinks. It was a lovely restaurant. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. We asked for recommendations and each got drinks we really liked. Would go back for food. They also have a Valentine's Day set menu. Check it out!

Great Atmosphere and Nate was a wonderful bartender! Food was ok, maybe it was what I ordered. I ordered the blackened salmon sandwich. Nothing spectacular to write home about, but it was filling. I loved the ambiance! Hard to locate bc the restaurant is within a mall. The resturant however will validate your parking! I would visit again when in the area! Thank you Central Bar + Resturant!

Came here with a large party for a graduation celebration. Food was decent, my only complaint is the length of the wait for the food after ordering. Overall the ambience is cute and clean, and the beignets were great.

Always a great time at central. This dinner was a few weeks ago, but the food absolutely stood out. With the alcohol flowing and such a great staff (EVERY. SINGLE. TIME) and experience at Central never disappoints. The vibe is always welcoming and comfortable with good lighting (you know how some restaurants are way too dark- it's not here). Drinks that are recommended: ANYTHING the Bar tender recommends!

My issue was the food, we had three appetizer, calamari, humus, and shrimp, they were all good nothing much to complain. But my main course was the macadamia halibut. Holy smokes, for 47$ it was bad, flavors overall were good but oversalted. Also the fish and the scalloped potatoes were dry. Best thing on the dish was the green beans. I mean cmon for 47 you seriously going to serve a dry fish? Drinks are great but I would not recommend the food at all or at least the halibut.I wouldn't come back here on my dime or recommend anyone come here unless they looking for some good drinks.

Amazing service, food, and drinks! The steak sandwich and crab cakes were my favorite. The outdoor seating is perfect for date night.
