I stumbled upon Category 5 Cellars by accident and I'm so glad I did because now I'm a wine club member! The wine is outstanding and they have a reasonable price point! If you like Bordeaux style wine, this is for you! They have complimentary snacks with dried nuts and fruits and crackers (what a nice gesture!) They host live music on the weekends which is great! Both indoor and outdoor spots are available and dog friendly!! Their wine club has several options which doesn't involve pressuring you to buy a case of wine every quarter. Another bonus is that some membership options include complimentary wine tasting for you and few guests two times a month! What a deal!!!!! I love this place very much and hope that more people will get to try it!!!

You have to try this new winery. Jason is awesome (owner and wine maker). He makes wine on my pallet for sure. The Firewall is a great everyday wine and a great price. I love the Frameworks as well. My favorite is the Petit Verdot. Sorry I think I bought him out on this one.. I became a member of the winery the first time we visited. I have brought several people to this place and they have all left members. I love the wines he created this year and cannot wait until his next release. You must give it a try.... Trust me...

This may be the newest winery on the proverbial block. We were pleasantly surprised that the first vintage here is both varied in its offerings (reds, whites, rose) and also high quality. The owner and winemaker is delightful and it was fun to chat with him and the tasting room manager. They just opened this summer so come see them and take some wine home with you!

New winery in the Woodinville warehouse district with a tech theme. The wine tasting experience started with a few complimentary snacks. The tasting itself was also complimentary - one of the few complimentary tastings in Woodinville. All the wines we tasted were great, but I personally enjoyed the cab franc the most. The owner and head winemaker, Jason, was very personable and came out and chatted with us throughout our tasting. He even let us try a wine off the menu that he's working on currently - an "orange" wine. Definitely unique and I like to see wineries try new things (in addition to the classic varietals). We will be back!

We had no idea Category 5 Cellars existed until we were walking back to our car and saw that Category 5 Cellars offers complimentary tasting! Um, yeah, I'm down. For the two us, we were able to do a walk-in, twenty minutes before closing. This place had the friendliest staff and most lively customers! I mean, it felt like a brewery. We kept laughing at the comments we overheard at the next table, which I will not disclose here. But just believe me when I say people were drunk and having a good time. The tasting included eight different wines! Holy moly. We had visited three tasting rooms before this one, so had already been feeling a little tipsy, thus we skipped out on some. But you'll definitely want to try the cab franc and petit verdot. They were the last two wines on the tasting AKA they were the most bold. For anyone who likes big, heavy red wines that you can eat a bloody steak with, these wines will do. Like I said, friendliest staff here! Our server was super chill and made conversation with everyone. She explained the different wines and offered us a plate of complimentary snacks and bottled water. This winery goes above and beyond for its customers. The winemaker also came out to talk with each table, making sure all was well. He also explained that they ordered a huge venue tent and will plan to have outdoor heaters.Glad to have learned about this newer winery. I'll be back whenever I'm tasting in this warehouse district area, for this one is not to be missed. Awesome customer service with a petit verdot with my name on it.

The winemaker Jason is a creative, passionate winemaker who creates awesome wines! This is my new favorite Woodinville winery. I love the Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Alberiño and Pinot Blanc, among others. He stands out from the other winemakers with his creativity and expertise. I've tasted through most of Woodinville in the past few years and Category 5 is a keeper.
