We stopped and were lucky to find a tableRight at the window - so a little less tight to neighbor guests and not quite a hectic We enjoyed the food a lot - unfortunately the server missed to get us bread and olive oil but he was just so busy. Both food was very good !!Their wine prices are hefty ($49 a bottle) but that's probably the location you pay for.Not sure though why the affogato is $9 more than the espresso. Must be a pricy ice cream

For our last night in Boston, we headed to Little Italy. Casarecce was our choice. On Saturday night, the area was busy so I'm glad we made a reservation beforehand. Casarecce is a cozy place with lots of tables in one room. Staff worked together well to bus tables quickly and get their guests seated as quickly as possible. Despite the bustle of the place, once you have your table, sit back and enjoy and no one rushes you. I chose the Casarecce chicken vodka entree. It was delicious. I loved the noodles and lightness of the sauce. It came with a ton of chicken. Portions are large and sharable if you want a smaller portion. The menu has so many good options to choose from and all pasta is homemade. We shared a Caprese salad to start which had nice fresh cheese and tomatoes. Great dinner.

Let me explain - first, I'm on vacay in one of the oldest cities in the country and in Italy town, so it goes to say my expectations are high. I'm expecting to forsake my Italian foods back home, but I must say that didn't happen. Food was pretty basic.First of all, the staff was friendly so they get 4 stars (but, we don't go to restaurants to greet, we go to eat ).Overall, establishment was pretty classy and set the tone well for a date night (also pocket-sized so attention was great). Glasses had a little residue (hard water, lime deposit)? The Moscato was a bit on the dry side (which was for my girl, who loves moscato and made me drink it - not a moscato person :D). Bread was cold and very simple sourdough. The mint in the pasta was a little overbearing.Pasta wasn't as al dente as I would have expected for being fresh, homemade. I know they take great pride in their work, so kuddos on being fresh!Chicken parmigiana had a large amount of cartilage, which is super unfortunate because it was starting to be tasty.Eggplant parm was a little on the "weak" side from a flavor perspective. The sauce helped but I would not focus on just the sauce being center stage. Oh...also, my parm looked like it had 2 mozzarella squares on top - a lot of cheese. The Ceaser salad was actually the best part of the dinner, but $16 for a salad is a bit much...Overall, food was not horrible (at the very least, basic) but I would not return when back in Boston. Just my opinion and based on my first-hand experience. Another night, another meal could have brought a different review - this is the review for my night tonight. Thanks!

Pros: The food was delicious. You could tell it was all homemade. When it came out, it was steaming hot. Also, the portion size for the price was generous. We got seated pretty quickly, our food came out sooner than expected (good thing), and the staff was so kind. It was my birthday and they brought out a free tiramisu cake for me with a candle, and I was able to blow it out.To note: The atmosphere is fairly loud, so you will need to speak up a little bit. There's only one restroom.Overall score: A+

Decided to give Casarecce another try since we enjoyed the food so much previously, and I am SO glad we came again. We made reservations online and were promptly seated upon arrival, even though all of North End was quite busy due to the ongoing Saint Anthony's Feast. Unlike last time, our server this day was incredibly attentive, professional, and helpful. He took our order in a timely manner and checked in on us throughout the evening. The food is the best part of this restaurant. We ordered the Lamb Ragu and Pappardelle Alfredo, and they were just as amazing as the other dishes we had tried previously. Pasta was perfectly chewy and al dente. We especially loved the Pappardelle Alfredo, which was savory and rich without feeling heavy. Perhaps the server from our first visit was still in training, because everything about the service, ambiance, and food this second time around was on point. We'll definitely be dining here again!

This restaurant had a decent rating on Yelp however we were a little disappointed it wasn't the north end experience we were hoping for - the atmosphere felt more like a nightclub than a dining experience. The food was fine, the calamari was a little tough but my cod was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The service was good and we had a good diner overall.

Fine, but not impressedMade a reservation here the other night and still had to wait 15-20 min for a table. Inside was intimate and decorated cutely, but VERY loud! The bread they served after I sat down was lackluster and served with olive oil and grated Parmesan. For an appetizer, I ordered the fried calamari which was nice and crispy but the red sauce it came with was lackluster. I got pesto gnocchi for dinner and overall it was good, but not great. The gnocchi, which is made in house, was a bit tough and the pesto sauce was made with cream and a little too heavy for my liking. At least the prices weren't outrageous and the service was friendly!I probably wouldn't come back, and would mark this place as a bit too "touristy".Ambience: 4/5Noise: 1/5 Service: 4/5Food: 3/5

I liked this place! Overall I had a good experience. I loved that they had Parmesan with the bread and oil -- it gave it an elevated feel. I liked the Bruschetta and the Mushroom Ravioli. The Mushroom Ravioli was really unique and they managed to pull it off well. I would definitely come back here again.

Came here during peak hours but was able to find a table for a walk in. I tried the appetizers and really enjoyed the eggplant parm and bruschetta. The dining area was cozy and a little noisy but that is expected. The place seats mostly groups of two and smaller groups. I would come back again to try the pasta dishes.

Excellent, food. Lobster ravioli was superb. If you don't try the cranberry bread pudding, you are missing out on one of life's great experiences. I didn't give five stars because they had run out of sparkling water - which is a bit strange for an Italian restaurant.
