My wife and I stopped into Casa Tequila on a Monday, right when it opened for lunch. We hadn't been before and had been hoping to try it. The staff was kind and attentive. We wrapped up lunch in about 45 mins, the chips and salsa was good, my wife liked the fish tacos, but I thought that the three taco plate was just ok. I ate half the chicken taco and all of the two beef tacos but the meat seemed room temp, so I assumed they didn't run the food out right away, even though we only had to wait 10 mins for our food. 15 hours later I was vomiting and worse. Now, I know food positioning is very hard to prove, and accusing a business of mishandling food (or employees wash habits) is absolutely nothing to take lightly. My wife was fine, she and I had the same breakfast, same dinner, and the only meal that was different that day between the two of us was at Casa Tequila. Not a stomach bug, this was quick and awful. I went to Urgent Care and they confirmed if it was a stomach bug then I'd be vomiting for days, not hours in a single day. Hours of being sick, followed by days of recovery and missed work, I couldn't NOT write this review. I don't want anyone to experience what I did after visiting this establishment. I called the restaurant two days after the meal, asking to speak with a manager. I complimented the staff, said my wife liked her meal, but explained what happened. Without naming names I spoke to two helpful gents, and I appreciated their candor. I told them I was calling to let them know, and not asking anyone to confirm it on their side, I know that's not how it works. They took my info, read back my number and said, hey the owner might not even call you back, just so you know. Again, I appreciate their candor, but I was still disappointed when management decided not to follow up with me. I thought this was going to be a hard review to write, but when the management never called me back after over a week, it made it a lot easier. Head to the restaurant and enjoy if you like, but keep this review in mind (and the tacos) if you do, it might save you a lot of misery.

Our experience at Casa Tequila wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything to rave about. The prices were SO expensive. A house margarita was $14 and any of the more speciality ones were $20+. These were for a standard size not a jumbo or larger size. Our food tasted great but it took forever to get our order taken and we were missing many of our sides (rice, guacamole, etc) when our meal arrived. These sides never made it to the table sadly. Our server was hilarious! He was definitely doing his best considering it was a busy restaurant and he brought us shots at the end to make up for the other craziness. Maybe I would try this place again for lunch but definitely not during a busy dinner rush.

It was okay. We took my husband for Father's Day and I think we went in with high expectations. We arrived and was seated right away. That was amazing. But the service... they took a hot minute to get to our table. Served our water but then while taking our order, she walked away. Without saying anything to any of us. Then didn't come back. We had to wave down another server. He looked confused then she came back. It was all very... different. Like. They need to have better training, I think. The food was okay. The bathrooms needed some attention. And there's city parking that needs to be paid for.

Place is delicious with phenomenal drinks!! Had a double date with friends we haven't seen in a while!! We shared the guacamole to start. I had two Paloma's and the quesobirrias, they both were fantastic!! I also shared the casa tequila nachos with carnitas! So good! I do wish the carnitas were shredded a bit more. But still delicious!!

I would rate this a 4.5 but I'm rounding up because it exceeded my expectations! The menu is large and we knew we wanted to try something other than typical taco dishes so we went for the molcajete and the spicy shrimp. Everything from the complimentary chips and salsa to our entrees was delicious! The house margarita was too sweet, but the skinny margaritas were perfect (I am someone who doesn't care for sour mix at all.) We really liked our entrees, and the sour cream was so weirdly good, I have never had sour cream that didn't taste just like grocery store sour cream. The molcajete was just FUN to eat, I've never had a dish in a huge volcanic rock pot before. The decor inside is fun, sort of like a suburban Mexican restaurant, and I say that as a compliment! We ate outside and the patio views of Division are delightful.I would love to come back and try other parts of their menu. Their drinks are certainly pricey, but that is my only critique. Recommend!

Great casual Mexican spot. The outdoor patio and service were great. I'm a fajita snob and theirs passed the test! Lots of veggies and it even came with guac, without me having to order some separately! I would give 5 stars but the margarita just didn't hit-too "soupy", just tasted really cheap. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant was mediocre at best. The drinks were overpriced. The food was bland. The service was terrible. We waited 45 minutes just to get our drinks. The food took forever. The waiter was barely apologetic. The manager never came to speak with us and the restaurant didn't even comp a single drink. Nothing whatsoever, despite the fact that they blatantly fell on their faces. They knew it wasn't right. They knew we had been there for a long time and that our patience had progressed to the point of irritation. They didn't care at all. Felt like it must happen often. I had been meaning to go here for a while and I really wanted to like the place but this was amateur hour and I can't even remember the last time I had such a disastrous experience at a restaurant. So far from outstanding that I don't believe they will ever get there. I will not be returning to give them another try and word to the wise.....eat elsewhere. There are tons of places in this city to choose from.

I cannot think of another time I have had service this poor. My family of 4 went tonight for a quick meal after work and were stuck here for over 2 hours. Our drinks took at least 20 minutes and the only way we got them was my husband getting them himself from the bar. Our food took so long that I had to tell the waiter that we needed the food or we had to leave - it had been over 60 minutes from the time we ordered. Our food came out and was not even warm. The cheese was not melted on the enchiladas. The waiter did not seem concerned at all. He took forever to bring our check as well. It was insane. I will NEVER go back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Good food, poor service, inhospitable atmosphere. We were harassed by young men at a nearby table and management did nothing to defuse the situation. The server seemed to be a friend of theirs. We finally asked for a different table and management acquiesced but the evening was spoiled.
