Parents enjoy coming here for dinner often and the service is always very welcoming. I got the shredded beef plate (Tinga) last time and it was good. It's a good casual spot to go grab quick dinner and enjoy some Mexican food.

Good reliable Mexican food. We had many favorites in Federal Way but after we moved to Des Moines, this place measured up and is only a short distance in Normandy Park. The Jumbo Margarita is very good for $11.50 and has a good amount of tequila. We would recommend a lighter glass. It is served in a glass that weighs a ton. Generous bowl of chips and small bowl of salsa that was thick enough to not drip on the table and hot enough to start a fire. Use with caution if you don't like spicy food. We had Seafood enchiladas and Taquitos Rancheros. Both dishes were tasty and well prepared. We arrived about 8PM and they close at 9PM but service was good.

Burien has such good Mexican restaurants and this is one of them!Steve and I swung by here when we were waiting for a few other businesses to open in the area. And we weren't disappointed in the slightest. Our lunch was very good!We had the chicken taquitos something I often overlook on a Mexican restaurant menu but always enjoy them when I have them and these were great! We also had the Mole Enchiladas from the combination menu. The mole was done just right! It was a little bit spicy and sweet and balanced each other well. Sometimes I feel mole can be too sweet depending where you go but there was no such problem here with the version here!Good place and one I'd recommend and return back to!

Small indoor seating area. Even so we were seated immediately. Service was just so-so. For the restaurant being so small and not that busy we waited quite a bit. We didn't see our waitress that often and the waitress who seated us and got our drinks passed by multiple times and looked at our table but never got us refills. When they finally stopped I was told that they were out of what I was originally drinking. So I took Coke in place of Dr. Pepper. The salsa was very spicy which was probably the best part of everything. I had the enchiladas de la crema, chicken. The cream sauce had good flavor but the chicken wasn't seasoned at all and was dry. My husband had the carne asada which also had good flavor but was very fatty.Closest thing we've found Tex-Mex so far though in Washington.

I really hate to do this. I really do. Look at the date on my review then ignore my review after a few weeks. However, for now, avoid the place. I just had dinner from them on Sunday, Aug 8th, 2021 and ended up sick as a dog. Still sick while I write this review. Some sort of food poisoning, whether it's salmonella from dairy, e.coli in the ground beef or spoiled food, I don't know but it's bad. I'm hoping it's just turned ingredients as I'm not getting the body aches and chills associated with salmonella or E. coli. I'd go to the doctor but I can't last that long away from a bathroom right now. I do know I'm ill as I'm suddenly sleeping excessively as my body tries to recover. Just avoid them for now. Maybe it's due to the pandemic or maybe it's an employee with poor hygiene, but I hate to think this some new normal for them since I love this place. FYI I ordered the Durango Burrito. My friends had a fajita plate and a beef fajita burrito and all of us are sick. If it were just me, I'd chalk it up to having a sensitive stomach but the fact that we're all sick makes me have to speak up. Instead of bombing the place with bad reviews, we all agreed I would leave a single review.

Rice has just the right amount of moist and fluffy. Beans had just the right spattering of cheese. I ordered the veggie chimichanga and that's always a bit of a compromise because I don't REALLY want broccoli and whatnot in my chimichanga but as a vegetarian that is my option and it was good. My partner ordered the carne asada. It did not come with any beans or rice so I don't know if that was a mistake or not - and the meat seemed a bit tough - however, my partner enjoyed it. The only sort of odd thing was the guacamole which was not cut up properly and amounted to two huge chunks of avocado. Service was fast and the delivery order was packaged neatly. The churros were delish - love that they added some whipped cream. And love that we could order a giant Mexican Coca-Cola. Will order again.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner last week during a weekday. This was our first time and we were glad to have stopped by!According to Google, Durango is a state in N. central Mexico and so Casa Durango is House of that state I assume. The interior lives up to its name and is very casa-like. They have fake birds and beads hanging from the ceiling and walls. The restaurant is not super big, but they have several booths and tables. Everything was clean as well.I ordered the CAMARONES AL MOJO DE AJO (Mexican Garlic Shrimp) and my boyfriend ordered the CHICKEN VERDE ENCHILADAS. My order came with a choice of corn or flour tortillas on the side. We also had complementary chips and salsa (a big plus these days when so many restaurants charge) and the salsa was delicious and had a kick of heat at the end.Service was great. The waitress was super friendly and attentive as if I was visiting her home. The CAMARONES AL MOJO DE AJO was excellent. The shrimp were well marinated and the sauce was nice and garlicky. I was glad that it wasn't overly salted either. The dish came with mushrooms and onions as well as a side of rice, beans, cheese, and cabbage which I assembled into my tortillas. The food came out super hot too which the waitress warned not to touch the hot plates. The CHICKEN VERDE ENCHILADAS were good as well, but nothing out of the ordinary. These were saltier than my dish as well. Our bill came out to just under $40 for the two of us. Both of us left happy and full.Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
