Haven't been here for a while. It's still one of our favorite restaurants and just as good as the first time I ate here! Definitely into supporting our local mom&pop restaurants! So glad they offer pickup as well as through other online ordering apps! They are always accommodating for my picky teenager. Food is always delicious, and presentation is always appealing.

Believe it or not it's hard to find a decent Mexican food restaurant that's more than a taco shop here in San Diego. From the outside Casa Don Diego has a very inviting classic Mexican look and I've several times and kept thinking I needed to try them out. I finally did and I wasn't disappointed, the flavors are good and authentic and decent size potions.

This was my first time coming to this restaurant. I would say I wasn't crazy about the food. It could've been the dish I chose. I think maybe I would come back and try something else. I would say the service from the waiter we had wasn't great. He never came over to the table the entire time I was seated to ask if I needed anymore water, didn't give any napkins not once, didn't just check up on us. And suprisingly this place wasn't to busy for a friday. So I did like that it was pretty low key. I would say the only favorite part of my time here was when Debra took over she was such a joy. She was attentive. And just absolutely a pleasure. She even made me laugh. Was very on top of cleaning the dining area and asking if she could take anything off the table we weren't using. Debra made my dining night alot better while I was here. She also kept the drinks coming and asked several times if she could get us anything else. Simply pleasant.

Just tried this place for dinner for the first time and we loved it! Service was great. Just talking about what we were going to order to drink our server (tall, thin elderly man) started to list all the drinks they had which was fantastic! Food was on point. Hot sauce, they give you a red and green, were nice and fresh with perfect amount of heat. Chips were also fresh and crispy. We will definitely return. Plus, you cannot beat the prices :) Under $50 for two hearty meals and 2 beers.

I've always wanted to try this place and would always drive by but tonight my husband and said let's go. I'm really glad we did . The young lady that took us to our seats was so pleasant and upbeat . We ordered our food after talking toThe young lady to get suggestions. Everything sounded so good . The homemade chips was just the right amount of crisp and salt taste to just say Damn . Our order came with a complimentary soup and was just the right amount of spice and flavor the tortilla strips . I settle for just a chimichanga with shredded beef because I thought I'll go with something small, but when it came out, it was so huge. My husband ordered a shrimp fajita and he said it was just amazing with the spices. He also said that it didn't have that seafood taste. The place holds around 80 people and very clean and well maintained. It's a very cozy restaurant. The young lady came back from numerous times to make sure everything was OK if we needed anything else. Only negative I could give this place its a little warm inside but he the food and service was amazing. I would definitely come back again for food a karaoke on Sunday.

This was a last minute spot for us and we're so glad we stopped by. The outside presentation and overall feel of the restaurant gave me very homey vibes, not much decor goin on to be IG/Tik Tok worthy but the food definitely was. I ordered their Arrachera tacos with an extra side of rice and I gotta say it was prolly the best quality of meat I've had. The service was also amazing and everyone was very kind. Definitely hole in the wall vibes and I can't wait to go back!

For the time we walk in the the time we sat down Jesus was so wonderful about making sure we had chipAnd more salsa too. He was working inside and outsideOur food was hot and fresh the Arracheda was cooked like I love it med rare and it was! The Chili Rellenos had good flavor and hot with a lots of melted cheese.
