We arrived early and found parking right away. It took a few seconds to get seated as the hostess was figuring out where to place us due to a shortage of waiters. Once seated, it took about 8 minutes for the waiter to come and take our drink orders, even though the place wasn't packed. However, after that, the waiter checked on us frequently and refilled our water cups regularly.The portions were generous--no one in our party was able to finish their meal. We ended with a basket of churros, which were perfect. I definitely recommend arriving early.

I forgot to take photos of the meal, but I took a selfie with my childhood friend. It was our first time eating here, and we loved it! The atmosphere was great! It was lively and fun. Open patio, great weather, good music. The server was nice but lacked being more professional. Not very attentive. The chips and salsa were very good; the salsa was very tasty and a little spicy. The food was so-so. Prices were decent for the area. Drinks are overpriced, especially their Margaritas.Tips: -There is a 4% fee added to each check. -Parking can be limited It feels like this place is more interested in selling drinks than anything. Margaritas are close to 19 dollars. Overall:This place has the coolest shops, decor, and ambiance. If they would focus on customer space and the food quality a bit more, it would be fantastic. We have always loved to pay a little more for quality food and experience, but this place took more than it gave.If I come back, it will be because my friend invited me again. Other than that, I would not come back.

This review is for the Chile Verde dish, which was the best Chile Verde I have ever had. The sauce was done perfectly. Every bite was delicious.Great location. We sat outside and were able to view the live band playing in the courtyard. Very nice.

An OLD TOWN STAPLE! What's impressive about this restaurant is that locals still love it even though a lot of tourists visit. The food is always tasty and never below a 4-star quality. We had to wait in a queue before being seated and they called us quickly! The staff were very friendly and tried their best to check on us despite the loads of patrons. The restaurant is very lively as it's in the heart of the Fiesta de Reyes shopping center. I was able to hear the live music from the neighboring stage which is also at the center of Fiesta de Reyes. I saw ALOT of Padres fans come over here after the game and it made me sooo happy as I had just come from the game too! This is a perfect place for big groups and celebrations! I had the combo plate which included two chicken enchiladas and a tamal. Everything was great for the exception of the corn in the enchiladas. They were a bit unnecessary and tasted canned. Overall, this is a great place and they hardly miss the mark. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! Note: There's a 4% hospitality surcharge for all guest checks.

Came here with my team to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. During lunch on a Wednesday, there weren't many people here so the parking lot outside had plenty of spots. Service was prompt and we were seated within ten minutes of arriving. My only gripe with this place was that the food was pricey for what it offered. My margarita and enchilada plate ended up being around $58 with the 20% service charge. There are a lot better options around San Diego, but also I acknowledge that on weekends, there is music, which we didn't have. Not too bad, not too good.

This place was so lively and beautiful! We stumbled across it when we were walking around Old Town. When we heard the mirachi we were sold! The live music was great. We got seated quickly for how busy the place was too. Our dish was a 10/10 and tasted just like how my tia (aunt) makes it! Soo homemade and fresh!

we stopped by old town, walked around and found Casa de Reyes looked pretty cool so we went inside. We were seated immediately chips and salsa was placed very quickly. The server Erica came by took our drink order. I had a beer iced cold delicious my wife had a so-so margarita not the best would not order it again in or recommend it, I ordered the taco plate to tacos beans rice 20 bucks my wife two enchiladas beans rice 20 bucks were delicious enchiladas my wife enjoyed what I did not enjoy was I never saw Erica again. Asked for water did not get it asked for salt for the chips did not get it. never saw our server again until I asked for the bill. I was charged 4% surcharge which I refused to pay. She said the money was not for her. It goes straight into the owners pockets a real turn off don't be fooled on that 4% surcharge.
