Carriage House Cocktails & Karaoke

We were wandering around looking for a spot that had darts and were told that Carriage House did so we came by - tucked in the back were 3 electronic dart stations all open!- PARKING -Convoy parking lots are always packed, but luckily when we came on a Monday night around 6pm, there were still spots open. Street parking is also not too bad too!- SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT -It was a bit quiet when we first came in, no music or tvs going on. Just slightly weird vibe but luckily they put on the SDSU game later in the night. The dart boards are electronic and take cash only - we had to ask the bartender for their darts as well. There's also billiard tables and plenty of seating around the bar.- EXPERIENCE -The dart boards took a $5 and gave 30 credits. Later we tested if they gave us more credits the more we paid and it was true - $1 gave 4 credits. There's rules pinned to the wall next to the boards, but we stuck with the classic game of counting down from 301/501/701. The box of darts the bartender gave came with extra tips and darts in case some got bent or broken.Drinks were fairly priced - two beers and a high noon was $20.We had a fun time and the price to pay was worth.- OVERALL -Would definitely come back if our friends wanted to play more darts or maybe billiards next ti

5 stars for the bartenders who were really great - friendly and welcoming!0 stars for the self-proclaimed "regular" who exuded negative energy. She acted like she ran the place but it came off more like she was overcompensating for a lack of something, which I won't speculate. The other "regulars" kept to themselves. They seemed like a nice group of people just trying to have a fun night out.As for the karaoke DJ, he was an old Caucasian guy and kept saying he plays the songs in order of the requests. But that clearly wasn't true. He didn't play any of our requests but kept playing the "regulars" requests. The same few people went up multiple times. After nearly 2 hours, he finally played one of our songs. Out of excitement, 2 people went up and sang and got the crowd to sing along. It was super fun! But then the DJ asked the 2nd singer if they submitted a song request and said it would get moved to the bottom of the list since they sang with someone else. What?! But the "regulars" all sang solo, then together, and then solo again a few songs later. The DJ was so bad and rude, especially when he was called out for contradicting himself and not playing other people's requests.In hindsight, it was kinda like being in an SNL skit with the terrible DJ and the "regulars" singing their sleepy Gone With the Wind song and other kill-the-fun-vibe songs. But you know what? We still clapped and cheered them on. The owner needs to be a fly on the wall and realize what's happening there. Go and check it out and hope that the rude regular and that particular DJ aren't there cuz the rest of the crowd was super fun and the bartenders were awesome.

The karaoke system is a little limited. But the karaoke host was very fun and kind. Their system can adjust keys though which is fun. You can't bring your water bottles inside - one of the bartenders stored ours in the back.

This is your typical dive bar with cheap drinks, so it's that's all you're looking for then you'll be fine as long as you don't mind the parking issues that come with Convoy. However, if you're coming for the karaoke, I would definitely go elsewhere. The KJ had the audio so low you could barely hear the singer or back track. It was a waste of time.

This is the BEST karaoke dive bar in San Diego! They have pole tables, darts, shuffle board, and a great outside patio space. There is karaoke every single night 9pm-1:30am - so it's perfect to come with your friends to grab a beer and enjoy the amazing vibes The KJ's give you an epic mix to make you sound wonderful and live your rockstar fantasies! Shout out to Kramer, Amy, and Lindsey for being fabulous

Strong drinks great service thank you San Diego. Came I. On karaoke night. Lots of people having fun.

While playing darts on the wrong night, as apparently it was league night. They needed ALL 3 dart boards. So while I wasn't looking someone put money in my board & since I was playing by myself they were really slick about it. Definitely wont come again, Kelly's on league night still allows space for other people-

I like this place, if you're coming here for a more chill night and/or just wanting to do karaoke then this is your spot. They have cheap drinks, friendly and welcoming bartenders, billiards, darts, so it has everything you'll need for a chill night.

Darts, pool, and karaoke with no judgement! Love this place. I hope it stays hidden. Dive bar excellence. The karaoke app is super simple and easy to find the largest selection of songs. Let's keep this one a secret. There's a Japanese style karaoke place 2 doors down to practice for your big moment... great food nearby as well.
