Carolina’s - Greenway

As always Carolinas never disappoints. Tried the stuffed quesadilla this time with red chile and was delicious. Was surprised this location wasn't nearly as busy as the rest which was a bonus!!

Love their food. Tacos are delectable and the tortillas are so good I got a dozen. Yum yum will be back over and over again

We have eaten at Carolina's in Peoria many times. This time we thought we would try this location. The menu is pretty much the same as the one in Peoria. The location is easy to get into and out. The inside is clean and uncluttered. There are regular tables and some high top tables. I prefer the regular table. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. I always get a Green chili burrito. These were good the meat was a little tough. the meal was good. We will probably be back when we are close but we will still mostly go to the place in Peoria.

Great value.The quesadillas are awesome. Made with some scratch made tortillas the are a winner. The staff is friendly and helpful.The seating is not super comfortable. The seat backs are vertical with no slope and and seat bottoms are hard.Probably can't get any better food for the money.

Best enchiladas and red sauce. Tortillas are fresh and delicious. I take out all the time and use there sauce at home.

Carolina's is a family owned Group of Mexican casual Restaurants. The original location has been in business since 1968 and is considered a staple of Phoenix. They offer foods such as breakfast burritos, combo platters, burros, chili's, tacos, tostadas, tamales, children's menu, soft beverages, and more. The Greenway location in Glendale is very casual. You order at the counter, pay, grab a number and seat yourself.Maybe the most perfect dish we tried was the cheese quesadilla. The fresh made flour tortilla was very good and it had plain melted cheese inside.I tried three different tacos (shredded beef, chicken, potato). The best of the bunch was the chicken taco because the chicken was infused with flavor. The beef and potato taco lacked any sort of flavor. The beef taco was also served dripping with oil.My husband tried the 3-way burro platter. The problem with this one was on the green chili side they didn't add any of the beef but he did say that on the red chili side he did have beef and the red chili side was good. I did think that the green salsa was good and it was needed to eat some of the food.Maybe an off day?

Good for fast food Mexican. It is a new location for this local owned business. I asked if they were part of the original family chain and they said yes. I hope that is accurate information because for years I always have heard about Carolina's and wanted to try it. Well, I was in my old neighborhood and noticed this new place in my Dr's office strip mall so stopped in for a fast bite. I had an Asada taco and a buttered tortilla. Both were good. Everyone raves about this place but it was not as amazing as other places in town. As far as fast food goes though, it is probably one of the better places around. I heard the original one in downtown is the place to go to. I will check that location out too. And yes, the tortilla was pretty good. The servers here were super nice. They ran out of ice when I was there and that kind of ruined lunch for me since I could not have my drink of choice but things like that happen I suppose. I also ordered a side of guac and it was nothing to write home about. I would go again I suppose but when I want Mexican I tend to go to our country wide award winners and Beard chefs in town and not fast food. However, if you like fast food Mexican go for it.

With a quick decision we landed on Carolinas....Green Chili Burro enchilada style with green sauce...Woooooo..Went with a smaller Taco Order and a Mini Chimi(COLD) with a Buttered Flour Tortilla. Overall every one was good until we got to.."Honey where are the chips and salsa?"Dooh..!!WE WERE SO CLOSE. Will get them next order

Unbelievable that the owner lets the workers work with no AC for three weeks now ,Should be ashamed of yourself. I'm contacting the news . You CANNOT let themWok with no AC. Let alone no sign on door for customers saying no ac.

First time at this location. Ordered #13- 3 beef mini chimis to go. Order had only 2 chimis (pretty sure chicken or very pale beef) and neither the sour cream or quac. Rice and beans were good.
