In our way back to LA via Amtrak at the Sante Fe depot station, We ventured out to Stone Brewing Taproom. Our eyes were fixated on so many people going in and out of the place across the street. Curiosity got us, we ordered a sandwich to eat on the train on our way back to LA. We boarded the train and couldn't wait anymore as the delicious smells coming from the TO GO box. As my husband and I devoured our 1 sandwich cut in half. We we soooo disappointed, not by the sandwich but because we only ordered one. I will drive back to San Diego, take the train or even the MTS back and chill at Stone for this sammich. By far the BESTESt sandwich ever. I am born and raised in LA. Nothing as great as what we had. As far as what sandwich? It was a cold sandwich cuz we had to eat it later, although "later" never happened.

My recent visit to Carnivore Sandwich was nothing short of exceptional. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and attentive care throughout the meal. The star of the show was undoubtedly their smash burger, which I can confidently say is one of the best I've ever had. The perfectly seared patty boasted a delightful crust while remaining juicy and flavorful, all nestled in a soft, toasted buttered bun. I also tried the Farm Sandwich, a hearty combination of meats and fresh vegetables that didn't disappoint. Both dishes showcased the quality ingredients and skillful preparation that Carnivore Sandwich is known for. Whether you're craving a top-tier burger or a satisfying sandwich, this San Diego gem is a must-visit for food enthusiasts.Didn't get pics of the farm sandwich, the family couldn't wait to dig in. Will 100% be back everytime we're in SD

Came by as it was next to the Miracle Potion (walking from a YEE) and I was hungry for lunch.I'm currently pregnant so the options I can eat are pretty slim pickings to me right now. This place has a variety of items. Sadly, I cannot eat luncheon meat so opted for the tuna sandwich. The cons-came during rush hour so the wait was very long. They are super busy so beware and plan your time accordingly.-parking The sandwich was a big portion-I only ate half the first day. Pretty tasty, it was the build your own which still came with a delicious pickle. I got mine with Munster cheese and many toppings. The fries, by the time I got home I expected them to not be as fresh or as good but oh my, they were so good. I don't like crunchy fries and these were nice and soft similar to steak fries. It was a ton for $5 and worth it! I love all the different drinks they also have.I'm sure the other sandwiches are good-would def come again at a different hour lol

What a delicious sandwich shop in SanDiego away from all the crowds. We stopped in for some deli sandwiches and weren't disappointed. The place is small and you can eat inside our outside. You have someUnique choices in iced teas that you don't normally have. We had a turkey Rueben as well as a pastrami sandwich. You could choose your side so we had potato salad and macaroni salad. My hubby said the macaroni salad was the best he has ever had! The service was also top notch. They treated you when you walked in and the time to get our order was less than five minutes. We will be back in our next trip to San Diego.

Today, I was feeling a pastrami sandwich, so I went to the trusty yelp app and found this hidden gem in little Italy. I had tried this place once before and didn't really care for it. But after reading the reviews and finding out the ownership changed, I decided to give it another shot. I got the Pastrami Ruben sandwich, and it was amazing. Crispy bread with hot juicy pastrami with the tangy sour crout and Russian dressing.

If you're craving a delicious sandwich, this spot is your go-to. They have a variety of options that cater to every palate. The bread is always fresh and the ingredients are top notch. The service is friendly and efficient, making it a perfect spot for a quick lunch. The Hangover Burrito and Cam's Favorite Sandwich are 2 of my favorite items on the menu.

With so many great food spots in SD, this place makes some of the best monster sandos. Small spot in downtown, so most people do take out, but they probably don't want to go anywhere after eating one of these sandos. The service is nice and friendly, and they seem to know their regulars, which is cool. They have a large menu with a lot of options. They do breakfast and lunch, but if they were open late, they would probably be a hit as well. The breakfast burritos are packed with meats and flavors. The hangover has a whole breakfast in it. Bacon, ham, sausage, hashbrowns, eggs, cheddar, and salsa make this live up as a cure to its name. They have these and a bunch of other options in a breakfast sandwich as well, but I go burrito every time. The lunch sandos are what I'm here for, and they pile it up for you. The boss is a corned beef, pastrami, and Swiss on rye and is exactly as expected. This hefty sando is my favorite and might make your day. The Italian is a classic everywhere, and this one is a solid choice. The other choices are also top notch, and all have a mixture of 2 or 3 meats and cheeses, so you can't go wrong. They have a great drink selection, and the salads and burger seem popular as well, so this place definitely hits on all levels. Definitely will be back next time I'm close by.

I have lived in San Diego for 2 years. Every time I had visitors, this was one of the places I made sure to bring them. More importantly, this is the food people say they miss the most! You might think the naming convention is some clever gag, but it is the most honest name that it could be given. In my time in San Deigo, I have made it a point to try every sandwich that looks appetizing here (which is no small feat.) and I was blown away every time! The owner is amazing and super knowledgeable about everything involved in his food making process. Be it from telling me to try certain things or telling me not to try others (admittedly, I was asking to toast a sandwich intended to be eaten cold) I could not have had a better guide and experience because of it. If I only had one day in San diego and had to pick something to eat it would be this EVERY! SINGLE! TIME! Cannot recommend enough 11 out of 10!
