Off the streets of Madison, this drive-thru/to-go taco spot is THE authentic mexican taco spot. Props to YELP for bringing me here. Upon arriving and noticing the mexican flag mural, I had a feeling this would have the types of tacos that hit and they sure did. My brother-in law ordered a carnitas, pollo, and asada tacos. I went with the tripa and a pair of lengua tacos. We also ordered a kids chicken quesadilla for my niece. Ordering it to go, they package it quite tight with the saran wrap to avoid spillage. Appreciate the detail on that. For the authentic street tacos, this hits hard with flavor, seasoning, and grease The lenqua and crispy tripa are the kinds I find in Houston from taco trucks that bring me to my knees. My bro-in-law found the carnitas to be his favorite with the tender pork and juice; claimed these were some of the best tacos he's had. Squeeze the lime and drizzle some green salsa on those things to treat your taste buds. We also snuck in a taste of the quesadilla before feeding it to my niece. Both of us appreciated the texture of the tortilla and meltiness of the cheese with the chicken. The quesadilla is quite large; we couldn't believe it was the size for kids. Fortunately it was a leftover for my sister which she devoured later on; even after heating it up it was still tasty. The menu is typical mexican with sopes, tortas, milanesa, burritos, gorditas, and mulitas in addition to tacos and quesadillas. There's roughly 10 different types of proteins to choose from. If you can't decide, the lengua, carnitas, and asada are always pleasers. It takes about 6-8 minutes for your order but it's worth the wait. No doubt we'll be returning here again!

Talk about taco Tuesday! If you are looking for authentic street tacos, this is the spot. The tacos are filled with flavors and packed with meat so definitely a good bang for your buck. I got carne asada tacos - great flavors and most importantly, all the meats taste fresh. For toppings, they add onions and cilantro to the tacos. They also gave us a green hot sauce, which was hot, but good to drizzle over the tacos. Lots of options - They have a lot of different types of tacos like al pastor, chorizo, chicken, lengua (beef tongue), carnitas, tripe (tripe), Barbacoa, and more. The menu also has burritos, tortes, quesadillas, which are huge portions. This place is mainly a drive-thru to-go spot where you order at one window and pick it up at another window. However, they have 2-3 picnic tables to sit at but it is outdoors, so not a lot of seating nor did I see people sit there and eat, but the option is there.

A quick point of order: This review was/is based upon the Nolensville Road location. When it comes to Madison, I don't know her.I never know what to call this section of Nolensville Road. I *think* it's Radnor but don't hold me to it. I used to be a neighborhood nerd. Back when this city had more locals/long-term residents, I think neighborhoods mattered more. Now people call anything anything and... excuse me. I have a cloud to shake my fist at. Where were we? Tacos.Yes, I'd passed this stand (you have too) many many times while speeding past on Nolensville. 'Why check out another taco shop when I already have one*?' Because this spot is the truth! At the time I came here, there weren't that many reviews but the ones that were there were fire. So, on a warm early summer Friday evening, I made it a point to get tacos.Parking was a struggle. The lot was unevenly paved and, as people are wont to do, humans straggled all over the place. After hovering for a while, I decided to park and take my chances. I walked up to the counter and, as shacks are wont to do, overly prescriptive customer service wasn't a thing. Order, pay, move to the right. Ordering was a bilingual undertaking but I speak enough Spanish that I wasn't intimidated. Cash is king so pay with paper and keep it moving. The place was moderately busy and only one man was on the grill so it took a little time to get my food. By the time my six (!) tacos were ready, the young guy at the register hooked me up with 'a lot' of green sauce. 'You're going to want it.'I drove home, plated my bounty and got to work. First off, fire! Everything tasted fresh, seasoned, DIFFERENT, and appropriately textured. I ordered the pollo, asada, carnitas, barbacoa, chorizo, and pastor tacos. There wasn't a bad one in the bunch. All quality meat -- and all made even better by that green sauce. He was right: I wanted it on every taco. Hands down, these were some of the best tacos I'd ever had. It makes sense: when you have a green, white and red beacon off of one of the busiest thoroughfares in the metro, you need to have your act together. Five stars. Easy.*Many more than one but who's counting?

Hands down most authentic Mexican spot in Nashville. Order at the window, sit at one of the picnic tables and enjoy fresh cooked food. This is not one of those strip mall pre cooked spots! Everything is cooked fresh down to the chips.

Was in the mood for some authentic tacos thanks to my recent trip to Mexico. I searched Yelp and this was a recommended place near me (minutes away)! So glad I tried this place out because the food was cheap and delicious! For $20, my boyfriend and I shared 6 tacos, a burrito, and 2 quesadillas with rice. Everything tasted so good! My tacos were el pastor, which I highly recommend. Be warned, they give you a small green sauce to go with your food and it is SPICY. I don't like spicy stuff so I left mine untouched. My boyfriend really liked the quesadilla, which was large and filling. Needless to say, we found our new favorite taco spot!

I was really craving true street tacos after work, and decided to swing by here to check it out. I've tried Baja Burrito and thought it wasn't really authentic, so I decided to venture off the beaten path about a mile away for hopefully better food. The prices were extraordinarily cheap, which was a great sign. I paid $1.39/taco for pickup, and they gave me a bunch of salsas in the bag for free. I also ordered an asada burrito to try, out of curiosity. Y'all. This is the BEST and most authentic Mexican food I have tried in Nashville. And you can NOT beat the prices. The food had great flavor, the salsa packed some heat, and it was all simply delicious. Like most authentic street food places, I got a couple of fatty/gristly pieces in my asada, but who cares? When you ask for street tacos, you know what you're in for. On top of everything else, the staff were friendly and sweet. If you check this place out, you will not be disappointed! I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat, especially if I'm in need of good food when drunk or hungover!

Solid place for your next hole-in-the-wall taco shop adventure. Just right off of Nolensville Pike and Thompson Lane, this little taco shack is tucked away in a little side street/alley that has plenty to offer. Been craving tacos and have been wanting to try a torta for the longest time, and thus the adventure begins. Ordered one of their chorizo tacos and a barbacoa torta (which I had no clue it would be so big) and went back to my dorm to eat them. They were still warm and fresh even after a 15 minute drive and were so freakin good.Like I said, unbeknownst to me I didn't realize how large these tortas would be and the flavor was just as big. Their barbacoa is completely melt-in-your-mouth aesthetic and a total hit. Definitely try out their tortas.

Authentic, cheap and fast Mexican. Go to place for me coming from Old Hickory. Burritos are massive and can get two for the cost of a very well known chain burrito place

This has been my go to spot for 10 years now. I absolutely love this place. Steak burrito is what I almost always get. Sopes are also great. Actually everything is good.
