Carniceria Ponderosa

Wow super tasty carne asada and chicken. The entire little market was very clean and organized. They had homemade looking tortillas in corn and flour. And a wide variety of meats.

Very busy on the weekend which I thought was a good sign. The grocery part is well stocked and has all the things you might imagine in a ranch style market. The tacos were super good. I ordered a chili relleno buro which was not great, all breading no cheese, rice and beans got hard as the lard cooled, not a big fan of excess fat in things. Judging from the incredible busyness of the place, it's a much frequented and loved establishment.

Carniceria came highly recommended by multiple friends, so we had to check this place out. It did not disappoint. They sell meats by the pound or made into favorite entrees. We chose few tacos and a chicken burrito. All were delicious and loaded with toppings. The salsa was little spicy for me. The meats were moist and flavorful but there were some ends that were little dry. They also had menudo we wanted to try but they were sold out. Will be back. Highly recommend.

Yummmmm! You must try this little gem of a carneceria. You won't be disappointed. Great meats but also salsas and tortillas!

Nice to have this new addition in the hood. Place is a Mexican butcher shop, eatery and small grocery. Surprised to see how large the butcher shop is with a great selection of meat, chicken and fish. Ordered a cheese quesadilla, barbocoa quesadilla, carne asada street tacos with pico and quacomole. Could not pass up the ribs, ordered a slab with a spicy dry rub. They finished it on an open flame grill. Every thing was very tasty. Place is clean and very busy. Prices were very reasonable. Will be back and worth five stars.

My family and I decided to do a "Support local" dinner every Friday night. We have a lengthy list of places, and this happened to be one of them. This is a small Hispanic grocery store with a to-go ordering option for food! I decided to give it a try and we ordered the Carne asada burrito, pastor burrito, small Quesadilla, side of pastor, rice and beans with 2 sodas. Total was $26! Can't really beat that. The food was AMAZING! So rich with flavors, and fresh. My kids killed their dinner! We will def go back! I have this 4 stars because I wanted about 25-30 from ordering till my food was done. But, overall good experience.

Got all of this for under 15 bucks including tax. You pick the fish you want and the Fry it for you the Whole fish with beans and rice comes out to 11 bucks and the 320z beer is 3 bucks. Best bang for your buck, we also come here for Carne Asada. The service is great , just tell the guys what you want and they will cook it. The ambiance is just like a meat market so it gets busy, just be ready to order and your food should be out in like 15min on average.

Hice una orden a las 6 y supuestamente dejan de cocinar a la 7 y cuando llego ahí no tenían mi comida porque ya tenían apagadas la parrillas. Tuve que ir a otro lugar para darles de cenar a mis invitados. Tal vez cambiaron de personal porque antes atendían mucho mejor, creo que ya no voy a ir a ese lugar.

This is my fave place to buy meat! It's delicious. They even have amazing ceviche! Everyone's always friendly and helpful. It's always very clean too! Deff give it a try!

The market has a good variety of orifica, is well maintained, clean and the service was friendly.
