Probably one of the best Al Pastor burritos I've ever had! Thank you for the delicious food! The pickled carrots and veg is fire! The hot sauce and salsa verde are top quality

Cheap good convenient food on cap hill. I've been coming here since it has opened and they haven't let me down for prolly near a hundred orders at this point. These weak reviews are out of their minds. KEEP FOOD ACCESSIBLE on cap hill. This place is great.

I ended up here trying to use some Uber eats credits. Pro tip if you want the most value and you get some free credits then pickup is a good way to maximize your dollars and check out some great places. I would never have found this location. It's in a busy street and parking is hard. This is a great spot if you are on capital hill anyway. It's a tiny stand but the aroma coming out C was just great. We are great fans of tacos and burritos from food trucks and other spots. This one was no exception. The tacos el carbon were great as were the burritos. Overall visit here if you are in the neighborhood check it out!

Steve and I went to Carmelo's Tacos last weekend and really enjoyed it a great deal! Super, super good food! Steve got the Veggie Nopal taco while I got the Veggie Nopal Quesadilla. What made up the Veggie Nopal was cactus, potatoes and onions. And it was a delicious filling!Though it was very awkward to eat and we had to go back to our closely parked car to dine somewhat comfortably I really did enjoy that quesadilla and the dipping sauces that came with it. Alas because of the awkward situation as to where to eat our food I didn't get any pictures of what we ordered. There is no seating near the walk up and I am not so sure sitting on the street curb is encouraged while eating your food. But it's a super popular place as there is often customers congregated around the walk up.

This place might look a bit odd, as it's right on the street and is only take out. But these tacos are amazing! And the prices!! I don't think you can get tacos cheaper anywhere else in Capitol Hill or anywhere nearby for the amount you can get. Each taco is 3-4 dollars and they have birrias as well! I got 8 tacos to split with a friend, and it barely costed me $25! The tacos come out relatively fast as well, and because it's a self-order window, there's no seating or waiting for open seats or anything like that.If you're looking for a quick, cheap, and delicious meal, I would definitely go here!

I ordered 3 tacos (asada, al pastor, and campechano) and an al pastor burrito. The portions are good and have good value. The tacos have a good kick/are a bit spicy. I thought the tacos tasted just ok. I wouldn't crave them again. My partner enjoyed his al pastor burrito and rated it a 4/5. He would get it again if he's in the area.

Carmelo's was such a let down. I expected better from a place which was highly raved about from some of my friends. I ordered three tacos: Tacos Nopal and two Tacos Pastor with a horchata to drink.I waited about 15 minutes for my food and ate it at the park close by since there was no outdoor seating. Upon opening my plate, it looked nothing out of the ordinary, just your standard tacos. There was salsa verde on each taco with pickled carrots and onion on the side. When I bit into my Tacos Pastor, it wasn't juicy and I could only taste the pineapple. Everything else was pretty much bland. I do have to say the Tacos Pastor was better than the Tacos Nopal. The horchata was pretty good though.Would this be my go-to place for tacos? Absolutely no! I would go to some place else.

Carmelo's over Tacos Chukis any day, and if anyone tells you otherwise, they are lying to you. I've been to Carmelo's on multiple occasions, whether I'm craving good Mexican food, looking for a quick bite, or trying to satisfy some late night hunger. It's a tiny little hole-in-the-wall shop attached to a convenience store, and what it lacks in seating it makes up for in flavor. I usually get three tacos and that definitely keeps me full, and my favorite filling options are their carne asada, pollo, and the campechano (potatoes and chorizo). The meat is juicy and flavorful, and their salsas are also delicious. They also have good vegetarian options!I wouldn't say these are the best tacos in the country (especially coming from California), or even the best in the greater Seattle area. But if you're looking for something delicious, cheap, convenient, and quick, then Carmelo's will satisfy your needs.

I've been recommended this place quite a few times so I was excited, but frankly I'm quite disappointed at least with what I ordered. I got 3 tacos (asada, adobada, and al pastor) which was around $10. All of the meat I got were pretty bland and dry, which made each taco taste lackluster. The tortilla was also a bit hard texture-wise, as if it had been sitting for a while. Maybe the other food options like quesadillas are better, but the tacos were very disappointing and I would not get them again.

Always dank. Always consistent. Always fast. Conveniently located next to a convenient store and smoke shop. Love Carmelo's.
