It's so nice in this restaurant! Such a nice ambiance. The food was excellent. We started with the grilled oysters and Caesar salad and let me tell you, those oysters are incredible! So flavorful and delicious. I also really enjoyed the Caesar salad. For our entrees we got the NY Strip and the redfish. The sauce on that NY Strip was delicious! My boyfriend also enjoyed the fish. Lastly for our drinks, the island cooler was the star of the show! Now the service was outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we were treated so nicely. They had us seated in this cozy area for our anniversary and it was lovely. Our server Ulises took such great care of us and gave us some perfect recommendations. I also can't get over our dessert. The peach sorbet was heavenly and paired nicely with the champagne. I loved my time here and can't wait to come back.

I had lunch at Carmel in Buckhead, and the overall experience was very positive. The hostess was amazing--she was welcoming and accommodating right from the start. I ordered the oysters, which were small fresh and delicious, paired with a lovely house-made hot sauce and mignonette, my go to. However, I did run into a strange issue with the seaweed garnish on the plate, which looked like samphire but was inedible. After mentioning it to the staff, they assured me it was seaweed, but I'm still not convinced, as it had the texture and feel of plastic. Either way, I don't think it belongs on the plate if it isn't clearly marked as inedible.I also had the smash burger, which was perfect and cooked to the right temperature. I upgraded my fries to the caviar hollandaise option, but the amount of caviar was minimal--almost laughably so. I expected more caviar for an upgrade, especially as a big fan. Overall, I'd still give Carmel four stars because the food was great, but there's room for improvement on some of the finer details.

This restaurant is quite underrated. I went for lunch today, and enjoyed the chicken entree. It was delicious - the mushroom and squash were perfectly cooked and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. And the sauce was the best! The ambiance was also fantastic. I sat outside and enjoyed the unseasonably cool temperature.Service in this case was average. Not super attentive or friendly but at least got the job done.

This restaurant is located in the buckhead village. I just wanted something really quick to eat. I was able to sit outside because now they have some outdoor seating. It's very small but it's enough for a couple of people. I ordered the avocado and lobster. Its like guacamole with lobster in it. It was really good. The chips seemed like they were homemade. I was almost able to finish the whole thing so is was just the right amount. I just wanted something quick, not a big deal, so I was served quickly and I was done quickly, which I appreciated. I recommend this restaurant to any and everyone visiting the buckhead village.

8.5/10Overall: a beautiful location with an intimate ambiance. The service was great and the food was super delicious. We ordered a dozen raw oysters for our appetizer, some which were a little small in my opinion, but it paired perfectly with the vinegar and spicy sauce that they gave us. Their menu changes seasonally! For our mains, we ordered the NY Strip, Halibut, Whole Lobster, and Diver Scallops.Halibut $41: 4/5 the fish was perfectly cooked and came with a creamy sauce with heirloom tomatoes and fennel. The fish was a little on the dry side though so I really had to coat it in the sauce to cancel out the dryness. I really enjoyed the flavor and thickness of the sauce.Diver Scallops $42: 4/5 this was the dish our waiter recommended to us! The texture of the scallops were perfect but they were on the salty side. Three scallops were paired with sweet corn, leeks, and smoked bacon which were seasoned perfectly and paired well with the scallops. NY Strip $62: 4.5/5 the meat was super tender and had a sweet flavor which went nice with the sauce. The steak was very juicy and cooked at a perfect medium. It was overall delicious!Whole lobster $48: 4.2/5 lobster was cooked well and was easy to eat. I wish it was more tender and i wish the lobster was a bit bigger. The lobster came with a grilled lemon which gave the lobster the perfect flavor balance and brioche crumbs which gave it a crunch.

This place has a beautiful aesthetic and honestly the brunch was genuinely really good! I had heard mixed things but I was pleasantly surprised. A must have is the milk buns. I could eat those forever. The lobster scramble was super tasty and rich with flavor. Their drinks were refreshing and overall paired very well. The service is great. Came here with a big party and it all went smoothly. One thing is that parking validation only works if you're there for two hours or less.

I've dined at Carmel in Atlanta twice now, and on both occasions, I've left thoroughly pleased. Last night, I visited with my husband and mom, and despite the slow start to the evening, the restaurant soon picked up. Our server was a standout, catering to our needs with expertise and even accommodating my dairy-free requirements with grace. We indulged in a variety of starters, including the flavorful ceviche with snapper and shrimp, and the pork belly tacos that packed a spicy punch. The bibb salad was a refreshing delight with its lightness and unique touches like jicama and dill. For mains, the perfectly cooked scallops stole the show, while the red snapper unfortunately missed the mark with its overcooked and fishy taste. However, the sides of glazed carrots and fried sweet potato wedges were undeniable hits. We rounded off the meal with the decadent chocolate ganache dessert. The atmosphere at Carmel is lovely, with enjoyable music setting the mood. Despite the initial quietness, the exceptional service and (mostly) consistently delicious food make Carmel a must-visit spot in Atlanta. I also had a fantastic experience during my previous visit, particularly enjoying the octopus appetizer and chicken entrée.

A tale of two stories...The Good: The octopus was fantastic; the best we've had in Atlanta. The mussels weee good with a very flavorful sauce. The smoked mushroom tagliatelle pasta was rich and very filling; a great vegetarian option. The NY step steak was cooked to perfection. The Bad: It look about an hour to get the main course. We were told "it's coming" a few times & then told the steak was dropped. We were kind but they didn't even bring us a complimentary drink as we waited. The overall service outside of the wait was so-so at best. Food is great but not worth it given the level of service.

My first time here was back in September 2023. My friends and I came in for drinks at the bar and had a horrible experience. The espresso martinis were great but there was a man who was drunk and bothering us for 20 minutes. He got in my friend's face and was touching us. The bartenders made eye contact with us and asked if he was bothering us. We all said yes but nothing was done about it. We finished our drinks and asked for the check. It was disappointing that we were charged full price considering the harassment we were experiencing that was seen by everyone at the bar. What we hoped to be a great start to our night nearly sent us home due to the tolerance of this horrible behavior. It didn't help seeing security out in the plaza that could've been utilized. A plan of action needs to be established so situations like this don't occur again. Words cannot encapsulate how uncomfortable and frustrating this experience was. Visit June 2024: after last minute concert cancellations :( the girls got a quick reservation nearby at Carmel. The interior is beautiful. We were seated in a secluded nook and it was esthetically pleasing. We got espresso martinis which were delectable! I tried the octopus which was really tasty. We shared sweet potatoes and broccolini for the table. The sweet potatoes were soooo good i could've eaten two orders alone. The broccolini was cooked well but the flavor was unimpressionable. Overall the atmosphere was nice and we had a much nicer experience than my first time here. I'll likely return.

We had a large business group gathering at Carmel! The service was great and the ambiance was nice. The menu was fixed but all the dishes were well presented, perfectly cooked, and most of all delicious. The team did a phenomenal job serving all of us. I'll be definitely be back on my own.
