Whew wee let me tell you guys about this place. I recently took a trip to Houston and I have to earnestly say this was one of the definite highlights of my trip! We came here on a Friday night. This place offered phenomenal flavorful Jamaican cuisine. I'm not lying when I say we were eating the food with our eyes closed! The prices were fair and the portions were huge I was soooo satisfied! Staff was super nice, cool, and suggestive! They definitely helped in elevating the experience for me. And the restaurant definitely had an intimate feel to it.I also loved the ambiance! It's the perfect mix of restaurant and (lowkey) lounge vibes. They have music (live DJ was playing all the hits) and alcohol as well. I had the rum punch and it was superrrr strong haha, definitely left out of there leaning. And I'm not talking about a little kick I'm talking about so strong I was thinking they accidentally gave me punch flavored rum and not rum punch. I 100% recommend this spot and will be visiting again on my next Houston visit!

I ordered a large jerk chicken to go. The food was cold, dry, hard and salty. The food was good when I ate here years ago. Sad to say I'll never return.

Can't believe I've never entered a review for Caribbean Hotpot. Look I'll make this short and sweet....YOU NEED THEM IN YOUR LIFE!!! LOLBut seriously, Caribbean Hotpot is the best. Been coming here foverrrrr! Their food, service and whole set up has always been excellent. The north side has nothing like it in the area. Oxtails? Yes. Stewed chicken? Yes. Veggie patties? Curried goat? Yessss! There's even a veggie plate (I forget the name on menu) that I order quite a bit. And for me to order a plate of food that's only veggies besides a salad says a lot. You can tell their items are cooked with love and true Caribbean know how. Peas & rice never mushy. The curry isn't just all heat & salt. There's actual flavor of herbs and spices. Juicy, tender oxtails. They've got a bar in there too if you want to wash things down with a beer or mixed drink. And yes they have brunch & it's amazing! Never been disappointed with a meal. This year I even had my bday party here. The owners were awesome in setting up my section & making sure my group had a good time! Just can't say enough about this place. Caribbean Hotpot is my go to place for authentic Caribbean food. Get over here and get you some of this deliciousness. Yelp on my friends!

Happy Independence Day Been in Houston looking for some authentic Caribbean food. This was mad close! Wings were cold, cashier replaced with a hot plate; much appreciated! Seasoning was on point. Oxtails were juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed the plantain with the plates Will be sure to recommend and return when back in H-Town!

Worth every penny. I know yall see that steam. Definitely love this place, I always get the oxtail special with extra plantains. So much food, tender meat and great customer service. I've dined in and taken out. Vibes are lowkey with an occasional DJ here n there on the weekends. Definitely a top favorite for caribbean food.

Always a good meal. This is my staple place when I want Caribbean food. Service is quick, it always hits the spot and the portion size is much more than enough. I've been coming here for years. I definitely recommend

Food is delicious. The young ladies at counter were helpful and attentive. We dined inside and they checked on us frequently. My only complaint is the Dj. The music was too loud. So loud that we bagged our food to go because we couldn't talk to each other because we couldn't hear each other. They also have a fully stocked bar. I will likely support this business again but only for take out.

Stopped by to try this hidden gem out and so glad we did. Ordered a combo plate with jerk chicken and curry goat, which came with rice, cabbage, and plantains. We also ordered oxtails as well. Everything was so flavorful and cooked just right. I was full, but could not stop eating. The staff was so personable and helpful. They had a DJ inside, and also an outdoor patio area. I would recommend everyone to come out and try it out. They also have another location on FM 1960.

Escovitch Fish, rice & peas, plantains, cabbage, and their infamous RUM PUNCH! Big Up Chef Marlon! The fish was unbelievable, well seasoned, and moist! If you're looking for authentic GOOD JAMAICAN food, this da spot! Catch me there and we can play jenga or bones, if you know you know Dat Got G.R.I.T.S Girl!
