Cargo Cafe - La Jolla Reserve

Went here to grab a coffee for lunch. This cafe is nestled in the middle of a business center in La Jolla. I suggest parking in the visitor lot and walking over, as its just as far as if you got a ticket and parked in the lot. I ordered the mint standard coffee and that was delicious ($7.95) Theres a gorgeous view of a waterfall and a mini lake with plenty of seating. Come here to do your work or simply relax. I think they have food as well.

Solid burrito, good size, great service, and good price! Also, the ambiance is amazing with the water

**PLEASE READ FOR PARKING INFO** So the overall parking situation is confusing and a bummer.. because when you arrive it's confusing. So the parking lot that is called the La Jolla Reserve that have gates.. you can park there and the cafe will validate your parking. But do not park in the church parking lot. Even though the parking situation is weird I appreciate that they will validate your parking so that makes it much better!I got the berries and cream cold brew and I really loved it! My friend recommended it to me. I was nervous about it but actually really enjoyed it!! Next time I wanna try the salted caramel cold brew. And I LOVE that they have a variety of cold brews. It's so cool and unique. My husband got the TropiCali smoothie and enjoyed it but wished there was more flavor and the coconut shavings kind of bothered his throat. But you can tell they use fresh ingredients which is such a plus. The area surrounding the cafe is beautiful. It's peaceful. A great place to do homework and just read a book or walk around. It was kid friendly in my opinion as a mother just watch out for the water. LOTS of space to sit! Didn't see a bathroom? So not sure if it has one or not.. but overall it's super cute! And I plan on trying other locations!

In my search for work-from-home spots, Cargo Cafe came up on my Google Maps. It's a little out of the way in an office park but you should be able to spot it next to the artificial lake. I asked about parking a couple days ago, and was told it was only free for the first 15 minutes, so definitely order ahead if you plan on driving. Otherwise, the place is great for hanging out and working! There are plenty of outlets and seating, with soft, booth style seating and larger tables. There's also free wifi! I got the cortado and a Mango Tea Tonic, which I thought were great! There's a lot more options on the menu that I'd love to try, especially the empanadas they had on display. Overall, this is a great place to visit and get some work done. A hidden gem for real.

The coffee and ambiance are great. Calming environment with excellent seating for meetups.

Cute little hideout, with peaceful views.I tried the empanadas. Visually they look meh kinda looks like a cross between a empanada, and a Panini, but they are very tasty. I got the caprice and the bacon, egg and cheese. They were both very delicious. They also have a chorizo one which they were out of. I don't drink coffee, so the only non-caffeine items are the smoothies.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the location, the validated parking but most of all the staff. They were prompt, accurate and beyond friendly! Had a business meeting with a few people and I loved the spread of tables and chairs so everyone can find a place to talk. Other than a little walking around to find the location, this place is a dream!

My friend invited me here to study one day and I never knew there was a hidden coffee shop in this area. I've just heard of this place and it didn't occur to me that it would be in this location. When I came here, I was overwhelmed by the many choices of drinks there were. I opted for a Berry Matcha drink, which consisted of a matcha drink with a strawberry-flavored cold foam. The drink was 6.95 but I feel like a lot of coffee is so expensive these days. The glass itself was really unique and tasted good. I was thinking of getting a coffee drink but I was really glad that I got a matcha one! The staff here is super friendly and there are a few spots for you to sit and study here. This coffee station is in the middle of a business park so it is a bit hard to find and parking is expensive. I would come by here next time probably to get a drink, but not stay too long as parking can get expensive. TLDR: hidden gem coffee shop with cool drinks

My first time going to this lovely cafe, beautiful outdoor seating next to a lake/waterfall. I ended up spending 4 hours here! It's in the middle of a business park, but it isn't very crowded at all and is quite peaceful. Atmosphere=10/10Noise: 3/5. The waterfall provides comforting white noise, but every so often there would be fighter jets flying overhead that were quite loud. Other the noise from the jets, it was very peaceful!Workspace: 4/5. It got a little hot sitting outside for a few hours, especially as the sun shined through the overhangs. But still, this is a great place to work. There are some outlets available near the bench seats.Bathroom: there is bathroom access in the building right next to the cafe.Parking: since this is a business park, the nearby lots all said 'private parking', but we parked in those lots for the whole time we were there and it seemed to be fine.Wifi: free public wifi, no password required. Strong connection.

My experience was great. Outside seating is very relaxing. Went walking around the neighborhood and found Cargo Cafe. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Ordered a Blended Caramel Coffee drink and it was delicious. If you drive, Cafe will validate your parking I will definitely be back with friends.
