This place fell off with the quality of ingredients!We ordered two burritos and the pieces of meat were inedible! Definitely go to Dońa Natys or traspasada instead.

I've been a fan of Carbon since about the time they opened their first location in Bridgeport, since we would order from it now and again at work. This location isn't terribly convenient so I rarely visit it--even less since I don't eat out all that often--but we stopped here over the weekend when I wanted Mexican food but something easy.The food was as good as the original location. I always order the chicken burrito, usually with cheese if I remember. Their standard is meat, cilantro, onions, so if you want any add-ons you need to be sure to order it. I always get the roasted red pepper sauce, too, because it is freaking delicious and addictive. Picked up some chips and green salsa, too, and that salsa was spicy! Yum. Carbon also offers catering, which I've had before and it works very well.There's a bit of an annex to this location where you can dine in. The part of the restaurant in which you order is just to hang out and pick up your order. Lots of Uber Eats folks. There's street parking here, and being in West Town it's hard to come by. They have a flashing lights spot and a couple of paid spots in front, I think, but can be chancy.

I've been eating food from Carbon for many years mostly because it's a place my mother really enjoys. Every year for her birthday we get food catered and eat it at the house. So this review is from never actually having eaten in the restaurant, but having food from there many times. The food always comes hot and with all the extras that you would need for whatever Mexican delight you want. Flour and corn tortillas, about 5 different salsas, and my mom orders all the extras too; elite, black beans, rice and more. They give you onions, cilantro, lettuce and cabbage , tomatoes and cheese too. The steak and chicken is grilled and tender and is tasty, but it is hard to say if it would different if they made it for me. It all honesty, I really would have given it a 3 and half stars because it's good, but does not really blow me away. If it wasn't for my mom's obsession with it I would not got out of my way for it. And it is not close to where I live. Good but not great.

Another great visit today! Anytime I'm in the Chicago area I make it a point to get Carbón (including Wisconsin, Naperville, etc.). Today's tequila lime chicken tacos were sooo good. The steak on the campechano was tender and flavorful. Salsa verde was amazing as always. Their indoor dining is open again (3 booths and 3 tables).

So I picked up food from here to go for different friends and Ubereats. But I've never eaten here last night. Side to grab a couple of burritos on her way home. Oh my God, they're huge burrito with rice and beans. About 2 pounds got the mother clocker. That's a pound of chicken meat, wonderfully seasoned. You can taste the flame grilling. My partner got the steak. Elote burrito, that was really good too lots of cilantro. And lime and flavor, oh yeah, well, we're going back again

This is my favorite burrito spot! I usually get the tequila lime marinated chicken burrito! They always use fresh ingredients and it's amazing. The service is quick and everyone is always so nice and helpful! Very casual ambiance. We usually do take out but they have a sit in area which is quite nice as well.

Second stop on a taco NYE pregame. The man sticks with usual steak taco which he said was on point with everything; flavor, no fat, good portion. I got the veg taco which was grilled veggies, decent. Salsa was great also.

Screened-in seating was great, super casual and absolutely delicious! Elote, burrito bowl and mother clicker were phenomenal- will absolutely return.

The chicken burrito was awesome!!! Extremely delicious! Their salsa's need some work though.Service - it's a walk up so just go up and they will take your order.Ambiance is cool!

The food is as always above bar, and they were kind enough to stay open later to wait for me. Such a good vibe and nice little patio.
